9/9/09 A Giant Chain Spitting Machine!!!
on: October 21, 2009, 07:52:25 AM
Wreaking havoc throughout the land!!! :o

How else can you describe this percussive rhythmic explosion on an old, old Steinway cramped in a small, small practice room other than a proud machine, bucking out of control and covering the earth with chains? Seriously, it's a serious question!

Oh, the piano is old; I'd say it's had a long rough life, and it is really impossible to get much lyrical out of it, but what it can do it does with great swagger.

Wild and free is the improv. I'm thinking a dedication: Quantum.

Compare if you like to 'one from June, Departures, which is ironically is still here:

Please enjoy, please.   :)

I came in here to take a break from studying and title of this got my attention.  The music very much reflects its name.  You grabbed my attention in the first few seconds, and it just kept getting better!   Even the grainy nature of the recording fits the piece.

Great stuff  8)
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach
