Yes, I miss Song!  But she hasn't returned.  I fear she's gone ......... :(  We think she was Bangkok's daughter, made when he was a stray.  You can see some Siamese markings in her face, her legs and her tail.

Feral? Is that, like, wild?  What a beautiful wild cat!  So sorry she's gone.

It isn't just done by hairless cats. A visiting cat would wake me up every morning he stayed with us. He preferred my beard in the morning. Once I shaved he wasn't interested anymore. BTW his master wore a real beard like the guy in the picture.

This is Juliet (kitten) and Blade (dog) -

Juliet is a kitten we are fostering at the moment, she can be well decribed as more of an "animal cat" than a "people cat" - this is the day these 2 met.

..here she is with our cat freya..

..and her fostered companion, romeo..

That's my beloved Misciolina who passed on 2 years ago!
I've always had cats in the house out here.  There were 5, for a few years.  Then the last of them, Tommy,  passed on last september, and we were infested with mice!  SO, there is a litter that was recently born in the village 3 weeks ago.  I've put my eye on  two calicos.  Just like Bisquit! (another one of my cats)
Pictures will follow.

Birba, I'm so looking forward to seeing photos of your cats and so happy you're going to adopt them and give them a loving home.  They'll keep Topo Gigio away, for sure!

Marg:  Felipe looks real cozy on the keys!  He's a cool cat!

AJ:  Welcome back!!  I've missed you.  Juliet, Freya and Romeo are really beautiful.  My favorite picture is of you with Romeo when he showed up in your video!  BOTH of you are really cute!!

Okay, here's the latest video of Bangkok.  I'm sidelined with a hand injury so can't play piano but Bangkok likes to get up there when I'm doing piano yoga (yeah, watch out for the next video of me playing piano in the lotus position!   ;D  ).  He only goes up on the piano when I'm on it.

That's really cool Birba! :) Can't wait to see them! :) will you take both of them or just one? you should name one Little and the other one Tune  :P  ;D  :D just kidding! it's kind of difficult to think of a really good name without seeing them, it's better if you can see them and decide what suits them best!  :)
If I had one more cat who was a girl and if it looked like it was a good name for her I would probably name her Luca, because that was a cat from a story (and that's Luca with c, not with k like it would be in English, probably something like Lucy in English).

We have one of those exhibits with a glass wall here at the zoo and I must admit it is a little unnerving to be that close to the animal but fascinating all the same.

You have a mini zoo! :P I used to have a beautiful golden retriever, but as we were giving it a bath outside, it jumped out of our grasp and ran away into the woods (used to live on the border of Canada with thick woods) We never seen Goldie again.

A couple years later we got a hamster and it lived in its own cage with a wheel and different floors to go on. One night I went to check on it and the cage was open with the Hamster nowhere in sight! I woke everyone up to go look for it around the house and we searched frantically. As my mom went to look in the bathroom she tried opening the door but there was something preventing the door to open all the way. Something was on the hinge preventing full movement of the door. As I realized what was happening I steadied the door and pointed in exasperation. The Hamster was caught between the hinge and the wall and was violently crushed to death as my mom opened the door. This really happened, and as a 14 year old I was horrified.

Anyway sorry if that was disturbing, I just wanted to share some of my sad experiences with pets. I hope your pets prosper!

I don't want to be a wet blanket but could we cool it with the sad stories? We tend to out live our pets so we all have experienced losses. However there is more to having a pet than the moment we loose it.

At present we are without a pet but we could claim ownership of a feral cat who stops by our yard between 2 and 5AM. When it first visited it gave out the howl of a female looking for a mate. When we tried to see it, it ran away. After a few weeks it came back and just meowed. We have gotten just  glimpses of it, mostly from the back. As soon as we bring up the lights it leaves.

It's the meowing that has us baffled. Is it a male or a female? Also it doesn't stop by every night.

Oh wow, that's a horrible story revanyoda o___o

Reminds me though, I had a dwarf hamster once. One day its cage was open and he wasn't in it. I searched around for three days, when finally he randomly showed up in my room, fine as ever. That's silly enough by itself, but once you realize that at the time I had three cats, which ran freely around the house...  :o

Wow, 3 days is a long time, I'm glad it was ok! How do Hamsters manage to escape cages like that though? They seem to be very curious, and adventurous creatures. Next time I get a hamster I will make sure there is NO way it can escape on its own.

Littletune, just to clarify I have plenty positive experiences with animals as well, such as working with horses on a ranch when I was 10 or so, and my grey cat Fluffy from awhile back. Sorry if the animal escape story's were too sad.

So sorry to here that.:(:(:( I feel so bad when pets die. One of my dogs came walking through the garden.. And guess what she had A dead fawn in her mouth!!!(baby deer). One of my sisters found a baby deer drowning she picked up and let go and it started following us down our creek!! so we took it home. I can't remember when it happened though. I thought it was sweet how we saved it and it followed us...like it trusted us.

Yes I will but right now I think it is at a cat convention (we say that when all the feral cats disappear for a couple of weeks) and I am sure it will be back.

We have a lot of experience with both domestic and feral cats. The present cat seems to be very sensitive to any changes around it and it can sense us going to the window. If I can set up some sort of light that won't disturb it I might be able to get some video.

We saw some video of the Julian Pass area in your country. Wow! Gorgeous!
