Way too soon.

The only way I could see something working is if a "movie" was in a different format, like 3D/virtual reality.  Then yes, redo it I guess.   Although I'd have to wonder a bit about the storyline staying the same.  Why redo it if only the format has changed a little?

That news is months old - already knew about it. Won't replace the original.

The movie they should re-do is 'The Fly'. It's never been properly done, and since they're re-doing 'It', 'The Fly' should be next on horror remakes.
