My pick is young Martha - if she does everything the way she plays octaves, that must have been ONE wild ride.

You guys must lead VERY sheltered lives....

Valentina Lisitsa and Natasha Paremski.........tsk tsk

on a scale of one to ten (ten being very beautiful), i would put them both at around 4/5!

I will find a picture of somebody more beautiful and tell you the link......

Okay, found one! Check this out:

Dame Myra Hess anyone?   :P
Does anyone else here think the opening of Liszt's 'Orage' (AdP - Suisse No.5) sounds like the Gymnopedie from Hell?

Yeah argerich when she was like 16- 30... freakin holy goodness(and btw I can get away with saying this because i'm not 18).  Seeing videos of her at the chopin competition; she definately has my heart

Not only is she rediculously hot, but her presence is asphyxiating.  If they had lived at the same time, she definately would have hooked up with Liszt.

In the video when she is playing the schumann concerto, she shoots the conductor this look that is amazing.  I would have melted on the spot

Dame Myra Hess anyone?   :P

Leave her alone, she's mine. Normally, i would not enter into such as discussion, but i have always fancied forming a trio with the Labeque Sisters.

The masterpiece tell the performer what to do, and not the performer telling the piece what it should be like, or the cocomposer what he ought to have composed.

Okay, I'll have my say as an oldie; who cares if such statements are politically incorrect these days. For me the answer is easy - Mary Lou Williams. As it happens I adore her music too - she must have been an overwhelming presence at the piano in her prime.
