hmm...i'm done with Mozart's Coronation Concerto in D for now. I'll come back to it someday. due to the switch of private teachers I'm working on a new repertoire as well.

new concerto:
Ravel Concerto in G/ Beethoven's 3rd/ Schumann/ Chopin Concerto no.2

i have to pick from a list and these 4 are my options, i've already elimated Mozart from the list! I asked my teacher who's in canada to pick 3-4 for me from the list and i'll pick one from there...i'm pretty sure these are the 4 that she will list as well.

besides this:
J.S Bach Prelude& Fugue in C sharp+ from bk 1 and Partita no.4 in G
Beethoven Pathetique Sonata-learning
Schubert Sonata D.854 in a minor-learning 1st mvt
Chopin Nocturne in D flat major op.27 no.2
Rachmaninoff Prelude in D op.23 no.4-learning
Prokofiev Sonata no.5 in C major
Chopin Etudes op.10 no.4,5&12

I've already started the whole Pathetique sonata. Basically i'm reworking the 1st&2nd mvts, previously I learnt it on my own. As for the 3rd mvt i've just started learning it.
For the Schubert, I started last week. For the Rach Prelude it's been about a month and i'm making pretty good progress.
I'm reworking Chopin's Etudes op.10 no.4& 5. No.4, I just love it as for no.5 I like it and I need to improve my R.H technique. I'm learning op.10 no.12 for L.H technique

J.S Bach Italian Concerto,Beethoven Sonata op.2 no.2,Mozart Sonatas K.330&333,Chopin Scherzo no.2,Etude op.10 no.12&Fantasie Impromptu

A breakthrough! I'm currently polishing Chopin's Prelude in Db "Raindrop". I can't believe this. I thought I would be stuck with grade 2-4 pieces forever.

Now I feel more confident... I just have to finish my assigned pieces and then I'll be able to choose for myself.

So right now,
Chopin - prelude in db "raindrop"
   waltz in ab "l'adieu"
Kuhlau - sonatina in c op. 20 no. 1 - complete
Bach - Bouree
  musette

Don’t laugh, I’m only a beginner:

ABRSM grade 2 pieces – just started working on

Beethoven German dance in C major WoO 8 No 1  - finishing off

Beethoven German dance in C major WoO 8 No 7 - slowly working through this

Chopin prelude 20 in C minor Op 28 - memorised, but trying to play without messing it up :-X

A breakthrough! I'm currently polishing Chopin's Prelude in Db "Raindrop". I can't believe this. I thought I would be stuck with grade 2-4 pieces forever.

...And I thought I would be stuck with grade 1 piecs forever! ;D can't wait to learn
'Raindrop' at some point, and 'Rage over a lost penny' is on my to do list in the not too far future!  ;)

Sometimes you just have to dive right in and study something you don't feel ready for. "Raindrop" was for a bet, 2 weeks to learn. I lost the 2-week bet, but was given 1 more week just to finish it. I thought it was impossible, but I'm finally doing it!

I'm looking for new pieces (they're not finalized yet), but they'll probably include:

Grieg Sonata op. 7 (Probably not the whole thing)
Barber Excursions (I'll pick one or two... maybe the 1st and the 3rd)
Ravel Valses Nobles et Sentimentales (Is it acceptable to pick selections from this? Or should I do the whole thing?

Yeah, that's kind of what I realized when I listened to it a few more times - somehow, I wasn't quite as enchanted after the first hearing. But now I can't imagine cutting any of them ;D So I probably will do the whole thing.

I'm basically done with Chopin's Waltz Op 64. # 2 (AW I love that piece <3)
now I'm working on:
-Beethoven's Sonata 8 Op 13 "Pathetique"
-Liszt's Grand Paganini Etudes # 5 "La Chasse"
-Bach's Inventions (two parts Invention # 4, three parts Invention #6) and Bach's English Suites # 2 + Bach's Prelude & Fugue # 2 (the fugue is giving me hard times =_=)
-Chopin's Nocturne Op 9 # 2 (pretty easy actually, but it's nice huh) + Nocturne Op 48 # 1

+ lots of excercises!!! (Hanon+Czerny+Clementi)
=___=

I can't believe my third year's (almost actually) gone! gosh time flies but still I'd like to progress faster...  :-\
Urm!

I've recently begun piano after quitting when I was 9.

I am learning all seven of Satie's gnossiennes.  Just polished up no.1, making headway into 2 and 3.

Apparently, 2 and 3 are level 7 pieces, to my surprise.  I think I can handle them.  I'm not quite sure of the implications of this in regards to my skill level.  I probably need to acquire much more repertoire before I determine that.

I have a recital on the 17th May and I'm doing:

Purcell - Sweeter than Roses & The Fatal Hour Comes On Apace (with soprano)
Schubert - Totus in corde lanqueo (with soprano & clarinet)
Brahms - Von Ewiger Liebe & An Die Nachtigal (with soprano)
Faure - Automne & Apres un Reve (with soprano)
Poulenc - trio for piano, oboe and bassoon

I've been concentrating on the above pieces since about February. I'm not learning any solo rep at the moment, but in January I played Mozart's concerto in A major, KV 488 :D

Well, I'm beginning new pieces (but probably won't really get to start until AP exams are over).

From the ABRSM syllabus:
3rd mvt of Mozart K. 332
Scriabin - Poeme op. 32 no. 1
Bach - P&F in F minor (book 2)

Otherwise:
Liszt - Au Bord d'un Source
Barber - Excursions #1&2

I'm really excited :D

We decided not do to the Bartok and to do Grieg instead. So now my rep is

Bach Sinfonia in B Minor

Scarlatti sonatas K.33 and a one in A minor (rumored after the E-minor K.198 sonata which I am playing for my teacher soon)

Schumann Arabesque (got rid of the Rachmaninoff moment musical. My teacher said I play it with no feeling  :( )

Grieg lyrical piece op.53 no.4 "March of the Trolls). after this I am doing the Schubert march in E major (rumored)

On Monday I started:

Schubert: fantasy in c major (the wanderer fantasy)
Poulenc: Les Soirees de Nazelles
Ravel: Gaspard de la Nuit

Other than that I'm picking up any chamber music I can get, depending on who needs me! I may also start Debussy Estampes or Images 1...we'll see.

Good times

New stuff!

Well - just until my recital, last one with my teacher of 6 years :(
-----------------------
Macdowell - Hexentanz

Rachmaninoff - Preludes Op 32 #3 E major, #12 G# Minor

Alkan - Allegro Barbaro ( I'm not gonna play this publicly.  I just feel like working an octave piece and killing my hands for fun)

Liszt - TE #10 in F minor

...I'm also learning the piano accompaniment of Bach's Badinerie to back up a Flute Player during for a recital.  It's pretty easy, but slightly tough to fit together, especially because the phrases always start and end mid measure, and I've never done accompaniment/chamber/duet stuff of any sort in my life.
Interested in discussing:

-Prokofiev Toccata
-Scriabin Sonata 2

well as I said earlier...
Beethoven Piano Concerto no.1
Mozart Sonata K.284
Schumann Papllions op.2
Debussy Estampes
and now, for new pieces. I called my canada teacher today due to overstress and I had a breakdown after my previous piano exam last month(and i barely passed). She was very kind and understanding, did not even scold me for doing poorly, rather scolded me for being affected by it. haha...however afterwards, she mentioned she would be coming again, so I have pieces that I have to learn for her as well:
Schubert- 1 small set of his waltzers
Brahms- Intermezzo ( a few selections)
Liszt- Transcendental Etudes ( at least 1) as well as a selection or 2 from his Pilgramage Years...i've been holding back on this because Liszt terrifies me!!!
Schumann- Scenes from Childhood (entire set) as well as Abegg Variations
........!!!!!!!! this is alot to learn
I have to learn Liszt's Dance of the Gnomes and Scarlitti Sonata Kk.141 for my next sem's exam too
J.S Bach Italian Concerto,Beethoven Sonata op.2 no.2,Mozart Sonatas K.330&333,Chopin Scherzo no.2,Etude op.10 no.12&Fantasie Impromptu

Added to my list of pieces from an earlier post here,  I am learning another Chopin Etude 10/8.
With some very interesting passages(repetitive) and tricky fingering....but got that figured out last week, and so now I am ready for a new adventure.   ;D

best wishes,

i am not good enough to play complicated pieces, i decide to work on something simpler...and more popular.

Chopin : Etudes op.10/1,2,3
            Prelude in c# op.45

Czerny : op.299 (paused) till no.10 (revisit)

Mozart : Piano Sonata K330 movt 1  (revisit)

Debussy : Children's Corner Suite

Ravel : Sonatine (revisit)

a random book for sight-reading and fun.

i play some Bach to warm up or as something for relax, do that counts?

still finding guts to start my scales practice, also for revisit of the black keys etude and revolutionary etude (which i almost forgot). A plan to learn Ravel's "Menuet sur le nom de Haydn" also.
