I saw one that would combine two people's pics into one to show what their child would look like.  They wanted you to registered or give information so I didn't do it.  Looked amusing though.

dearest friends!! how are you all doing?  :) hope y'all doing great and staying healthy  ;) ;D ;D yeah, it's been awhile since i last posted anything on this forum. i've been very busy lately doing a lot of things, such as recitals, recordings, workshops and what not.

there is one important thing that i'd really like to share it with you all here, and hope that it can bring much goodness to the life of many people in my country. this is the story: my dear friends and i have been managing a classical music group on facebook called MKI (musik klasik indonesia - the largest and most active (non profit) classical music group in the country). next month, we are going to have a series of charity auctions held on this group (dates and details: tba). we are auctioning 12 portraits of me and music paintings done by an aspiring world artist by the name of angkasa pura (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001168762501). 100% OF THE AUCTION MONEY WILL GO TO THE VICTIMS OF NATIONAL DISASTERS!

and i am attaching pictures of most of the oeuvres to be auctioned. if you happen to like any of them you can own them by placing highest bid. minimum bid is US$ 0.95. we really hope that something good will happen from this fund-raising endeavor! long live humanity!!

if you have any question please do not hesitate to write me an email: teguh_sukaryo@yahoo.com. thank you a bunch for you attention

love, teguh (tds)

I believe my "animals who are stuff" (<-- promotes the fact that they are animals first, above being stuffed, so it doesn't make them feel bad.)... I believe they are all packed away in a box somewhere and are over 20 years old.  I have...  That doesn't sound right... to have "adult stuff animals"... I have *mature* stuff animals.

Yes they are friends :) I mean my dog is friends with all other animals :) (if they're nice), but no this birdie is not thinking about giving kisses to my doggy like the other bird :)  :P

It's really funny that you asked about the guy in the corner  ;D  :D Do you maybe know him or something?  :P Cause he's from Switzerland :) From Basel!  :P My mum got him there, but REALLY long time ago. Well he's a dog, but he's also a casette player, well and then he also opens his mouth like he was speaking or singing...  but I don't know if he's still working  :-\ I should try sometime...  :) but he needs REALLY A LOT of batteries!  :)

thal: That's a great shot out in the middle of somewhere. Just not a very good advertisement for moving to the UK. You did however, capture the essence of the experience as I remember it.

Indeed it is not, but I was as far North as you can get in the UK and it was December.

The bird and insect populations around here are burgeoning at the moment. Our marigold bed attracts dozens of goldfinches, bumble bees, honey bees and monarch butterflies. These two did not appear to squabble but became grumpy with me.

We need all we can get to restore the population after the die off. Your bees look different from mine, who are slimmer. Which season is it where you are? Here it is just barely spring and the bees will be putting on weight getting ready to migrate and form new hives.

We are almost at the autumn equinox now but it still feels like summer. We have had a hot summer but with several isolated periods of heavy rain. Perhaps that combination is just right for insects. There are crickets and mantises everywhere.

Those in the photo are bumblebees, of which there are many species worldwide. Bumblebees do not make hives but live in nests in the ground in much smaller colonies; usually of not more than a few dozen bees around here. Their cycle lasts only one season and its mechanism is quite complicated. They are capable of stinging but are usually very placid.

This year we have had many more honey bees on the flowers too, which is a pleasing sign given all their problems of the last few years.

I learn something new everyday. Here our bees also live in the ground in small colonies but I can only identify two species. I only know this much because of a bee-keeper with whom we work closely, rescuing honey bees. Last season we captured two migrating colonies of 40k each. Here in the city we only see wild bee colonies from our green belts since nobody keeps bees any more.

I'm  not really "hands-on" being allergic to bites but I do my part keeping pedestrians at a safe distance. "Don't run, don't wave your arms and keep your mouth closed."
