well... i'm sad.... my mum and dad were arguing about money again and my dad doesn't want me to play piano and he also thinks I'm stupid....
and it's my mum's birthday tomorrow... that's going to be a fun birthday!
and I also had a bad dream...
well but yeah who cares! I just wish I knew what to do!!

That's indeed very sad, actually horrible. Nobody on this forum can help, I'm afraid, nor can we give any concrete constructive advice aside from general comforting words.

But perhaps you go inside of yourself and listen to your inner voice, to the voice of your heart, which is a loving voice. It can help you, I am sure. This voice of your heart can help you.

Well yesterday our last goldfish died  :( . I guess they were really sick when we got them (because the first one died about two weeks after we got them and this last one about 5 months)  :'(

And I am really scared of my piano exams  :-\ Today at my piano lesson my hands started shaking when I just thought about it  :-\ And my teacher said I better not make any mistakes at least when I'm playing the easier pieces (for 1st grade), because I will lose points.... but if I'll be to scared I'll make mistakes even if I will learn my pieces really well  :-\  ::)
Well I'm not even sure if I will have my exams (cause of my dad and money and everything!...) why does everything have to be soooo complicated?!  ::)

Very sad and confused...
Today at my piano class I had a talk with my teacher (that knows me since I was 8 years old), and she told me I should make a choice: to be a pianist and quit college or keep studying architecture and quit piano. She also said I can't manage my time right and that I'm not ready for my 9th grade piano exams.
It happens that after I started college, I barely have time for practicing as I had before, and she doesn't seem to understand that... The pieces she chose for me are hard, and I'd need time and patience for getting to play them well. I'm barely sleeping because of college.
I don't know what to do... I like architecture but I like piano more...

You can do both.  There's always a way.  Maybe not as much as your piano teacher would like.  You can always get a new teacher.

Current state:  Stressed.  Feeling sick.  Ugh.

Consider yourself hugged.

It appears you have reached a crossroad which happens to all of us at sometime, but mostly when we are young. You need to make a decision if you want to be good at two things or really excellent at one. It is not possible to serve two masters.

When I was young, i needed to choose between cricket and piano. Regretfully, i chose cricket which ended in a short career and bad knees.

If you are barely sleeping, that is not good and would indicate that the decision you need to make is overdue. Try not to take too much advice, especially from dweebs like me on the internet, as this needs to be your decision.

Follow your gut instinct and do not fear the consequences.

Sitting on your favourite banjo???

Seriously, no there is not and when you are young it feels like the end of the world. I have been cheated on before and it makes you feel sick, but experience tells me that in time I will feel better.

You are young and judging by your photos incredibly beautiful. Any man that cheats on you is clearly deranged and unworthy.

I am 12 and entered my first piano competition. I didn't get in the top three but it didn't matter to me. After I played for the judges I accidentally peeked at my evaluation. At my piano lesson my teacher got my evaluation. One of the judges was so mean. He didn't mention anything good about my playing and referred to me as cocky due to how I played. both of my judges mention how I peeked at my evaluation(which I didn't know not to do). After I read this I came home crying :'(

I don't know... What hurts the most is to think someone else has what I'm missing.

Then pity the someone else, as they now have a cheat.

I am really great now! :) Yesterday I had my recital and it was cool  8)  :) . well I did make some mistakes and I could have played better but it was still really cool! :) I was really happy!! And we were playing on the real piano (well on an upright but on real one :) )
And first my mum gave me a present, a piggy with chocolates in it and the chocolates are like money and when you eat them you have a piggy bank :) and she also gave me 10 eur. And then when we came home my dad gave me a present too!!  :o which is really weird because he has never given me a present for my recitals before! And he gave me a Mozart chocolate! and 20 eur!!!!  :o I was really really surprised and I couldn't believe it!! and my mum couldn't either! She said he must have really liked the recital. (but I don't know cause he never says anything about that).
Well I was really really happy, and it was a really cool day :)  8) (even though i made some mistakes  ::) ).  :D  8)  :P  :)

Well I'm still ok. But I have exams tomorrow  :-\ These are not that scary because we have them at our music school... but then next week we have exams at some other school with some teachers we don't know and it's a lot more serious so it's really scary!
And my teacher didn't like my recital very much, she said I was too nervous and she told me sooooo many things I did wrong! And she said if I played like that at the exam I won't get the highest grade and she said I should get the highest grade because I deserve one but those people don't know me so they won't like it if i'll be so nervous... or something like that..... well I'm still happy about my recital, I know I could have played a lot better but I'm happy because of my dad and because my music theory teacher said she liked my playing and cause everything was cool :)
And tomorrow I have piano exams at 1 p.m. and my music theory exam at 2 p.m.
I'm thinking it would maybe be better if I only did 1st grade exams cause that wouldn't be so scary as 2nd but oh well... we'll see how it goes. And if it won't go ok, I can still try again next year  :P

Thank you Wolfi! :) It was sooooooooooooooo cool today!!!!!  :) 8)  :P It was really great!!! :)
First when I came to school there was this girl I haven't seen for a really long time (like I think almost 2 years) I almost didn't recognize her at first. And then we went into one room with piano to warm up our fingers and it wasn't so scary cause we were talking and joking :) And then my piano teacher came and she said I should leave my things there and I have this toy snake that I got from a surprise chocolate egg, well actually it was from a chocolate bear that's got a surprise in it :) and I have it with me all the time and I have it on my thumb (cause you can put it so that it's like a big ring) but I can't have it when I'm playing so I just put it on the piano, and so my teacher said: do you have to take this with you? and I was like well I don't know.... and then she said : do you have it for good luck?... and I said yes and she said: well take it with you then :) So we went into another room with piano and there were three teachers (my piano teacher and the teacher I have for music theory and one other). And before I sat down at the piano I hit my head because the ceiling goes down on one side almost to the floor and I forgot about that when I was looking the other way  ;D And all the teachers got really worried if I hurt myself, but it didn't hurt at all :) it just made a really loud sound  ;D So that was pretty funny :) So then my teacher said if I would start and I said yes, so I started playing and the keys on that piano are really a lot easier to press so it was kinda strange. But it was ok :) And my hands weren't shaking but then when I was playing the last 1st grade piece I forgot for a second what I have to play so then when I started playing my second grade pieces my hands were shaking a little. But it wasn't that bad and I haven't made any big mistakes :) And then when I was playing the last piece that is the most difficult (and my teacher didn't like at all the way I  played it at my recital) then I just started really slowly and it was really weird cause it felt kinda relaxing :) so I felt really great then :) And then when I finished my teacher was smilling and she looked kinda happy and she said: well good :) and then she said: so you started enjoying playing that piece... well I mean I was enjoying it before too just more when I was playing by myself otherwise I was thiking about too many things so I wouldn't make too many mistakes. And other teachers said it was good too except that maybe the pedal is too loud.
So then at music theory we were writing tests and dictations. And I only had one mistake when we had to tell if the teacher played half tone or a whole tone up or down. So I had one wrong out of 11 (don't know why I missed that one). And then we had three dictations. One without melody just...i'm not sure what that's called...(there I just wrote the quarter rests too low) and then one easier and one harder (in B-flat major), and I didn't have any mistakes!!! :o I couldn't believe it!!! So that was that :) And then before I went home I went to see that doggy and his owner was there and he said I can take him for a walk! :) So I did  :)  :P and it was really cool! We went up one hill that's there and we were running :) and when we went down I wasn't even sure anymore where exactly we have to go :) but the doggy knew so I just followed him so I guess he was taking me for a walk  ;D and he was running down the hill and we went really fast :) It was really cool  8)
Well my dad wasn't that happy cause they had to wait for me for so long :) but it was ok :)
And then I also found 2 eur!  :) So everything was soo great!!!!!!! So I'm a little worried that I've used up all my luck today and there won't be any left for next week when I have exams at that other school!  :-\ (which will be even 100 times scarier!) Well I don't know.... but today was sooooooo perfect  I'm really happy!!!  :)  :D  :)  :P  8)  :)  :)

This could be your throat.

It often gets overworked by the female species and is likely to hurt.

Why just by the female species?  :-\ You mean cause we talk too much and scream? well I don't really.... well I don't talk so much, I write a lot more  :P and i don't scream... only when I want my doggy to start barking and crying cause she's soooo cute when she does that... but I don't scream loud just really really high, cause when my doggy hears a really high sound she starts looking for something (i think maybe she thinks there are some little puppys somewhere) and then she starts making really funny and cute voices :) I should record that sometime and put it in the audition room  ;D me and my doggy singing  ;D well maybe I could add some piano too  :P
But I did remember that on saturday my friend and me were singing a lot :) because we were singing with weird voices and we were singing really loud and being stupid  ;D  :P It was really funny! but I still think it was something about my teeth that hurt.

No I don't only have one tooth!  ;D I think people usually have only one tooth when they're like 6 month old or maybe 100 years old :) .... well but if I was 6 month old then something at the front of my mouth would hurt not at the back (cause you first get front teeth) and if I was 100 years old then I guess that tooth wouldn't really be growing anymore I think :) And I hope you believe me that I don't have only one tooth cause otherwise I'll just take a picture of my teeth and post it  ;D Some time ago I had a math teacher (just for a few months)... and once I was yawning really a lot while he was talking about math and trying to explain everything and then he said: Stop yawning! I can see all the fellings in your teeth! And then I said: well but I don't have any fellings in my teeth, and he said: yes you do I saw them, and I said: no I don't, and he said: yes you do... and then I opened my mouth and showed him all my teeth. And then he looked kinda shocked  ::) And he said: Do you just show your teeth to everybody? Like that was  something so horrible  ::) I mean how else could I prove to him that I didn't have any fillings in my teeth??  ::) grownups!  ::)  :) But otherwise he was WAY better than the math teacher I have now!! Well now I don't have any teachers cause it's summer and summer holidays!  :P

One tooth is quite a look, esp if it's a growing tooth and will become a bigger single tooth.

That would limit which instruments you could play too, but piano would still work.  Singing might be out too though, if you want to perform in front of an audience.

In the front... in the back of the mouth.... upper or lower jaw.... All that would have an impact on the single-toothed look.

You mean the tooth would be growing all over inside your mouth? Or it would be growing out of your mouth?  :-\
Well either way, I would much rather have a lot of little teeth than just one huge one!  ;D

Yes, yes, littleteeth.

If it's a wisdom tooth and you have to get it pulled, just get that over with.  It's not so bad.

Littleteeth  :) that's funny  :D  ;D ... although my teeth are not really that little :) cause some people really have very small teeth... like it almost looks like they still have baby teeth when they don't really have baby teeth anymore.... and when they still have baby teeth they're so small they almost don't look real.... well my teeth are not that small... I think they're pretty big teeth... well at least for my face... :)  ;D
I don't think it was a wisdom tooth.... I think it was something else  :-\ and I sure don't believe that pulling teeth is not so bad!!! even pulling my baby teeth is bad!!!! even if they're only holding in on one side it's still very bad!! So no pulling teeth! not for littleteeth!  :P  :)

Now I get it!!!  I'm so sorry if I ever offended you and your child-like ways.  I just looked you up and I saw you ARE a child!  11 years old!   I think that's wonderful to hear such enthusiasm and fresh nonsense.   I LOVE it!  Now, I really think you ARE cute and I hope I'm invited to the wedding!

Well I will be 12 very soon :) now I can say next month because it's july already!  :)
(I noticed you think a lot of times people on the forum are older than they are   :P :) )
I can sometimes act really smart too  :) , but then I get tired of that and I really like just being the way I am here even if people think I'm stupid  :P
Don't worry you are invited to the wedding :)  :) and thanks  8)

well for now I'm only playing very easy pieces  :-[ (I know that some kids at 11 and 12 play really difficult pieces already, or even at 6!  :-[ ). I've had piano lessons since october (and before that I've been playing keyborad just for fun for about a year). And I have my piano since february  :P  :P And in june I had my first exams :) it was really cool  8) I did grade 1 and grade 2 exams at the same time :) but grade 2 in my country is kinda like grade 1 ABRSM. So grade 1 in our country are really baby pieces  :) And now (last week when I had my last piano lesson until september) my teacher gave me some new pieces: one long finger exercise, and I have two Etudes ( by Berens and Duvernoy) and then I have two funny pieces about Ice skating and about a kid playing :) and then I have one piece Lettische Polka :) and then I have one piece that's on pianostreet too and that's Russian folk song :) And then I also have some other pieces I would really like to learn by myself! :) well maybe it's kinda a lot  :-\ i don't know :) but I'll see how much I'll be able to learn during the summer holidays :) my teacher said I can just learn those two funny pieces and one Etude (and the finger exercises) with both hands together and others just with each hand separately, but I have already learned that (well not very well yet but I can play them), so I think I'll learn a lot more till september.  :)  :P And now I've written WAY too much!!!  ::)  :P  :)
