DG knows that both youth and sex sell. They really don't care so much about talent, obviously (but I won't go into that in this thread).
I think Lisitsa has a very typical Russian/Ukrainian appearance, which can appear quite exotic.
another cute one, Beatrice Berrut
natalie glebova (she also won the 05 miss universe title and does a good bit of modeling)
Why don't we have a most underrated overrated neglected hardest shapetly attractive pianists thread? Surely someone somewhere must be itching to start one!Grrr!!!Best,Alistair
Perhaps we could rate the most overrated attractive pianists by the difficulty of getting them into bed.
Also Chopin.
That is horrible.I have seen more meat on an Ethiopian cows arse.
I didn't realise that you'd even been to Ethiopia! Do tell us about your trip there!Best,Alistair
Everyone hold your fire: I very, very, very strongly suspect that she's been photoshopped. The photoshopping of normal healthy human females into anorectic mutants is a plague and a curse in advertising these days . The ladies know what I am talking about; fellows, ask your SO/sister/friend if you don't believe me. I am deeply sorry to see it's gotten into the music world as well.

As the style and quality of music is not an issue here, would anyone object if Richard Clayderman is nominated?
Yes. Isn't this thread supposedly about pianists?Best,Alistair
Has anyone mentioned Lola Astanova?
Of course he is. Richard Clayderman is as much a pianist is Olga Stenkavich and that Miss Universe 2005 whose recording we have not even heard. One may not like Clayderman's music, but he actually got accepted into the Paris Conservatory at the age of 12.
And then what happened? When "his music" is being talked about, incidentally, most if not all of it isn't his at all but someone else's.Best,Alistair
I previously thought you had not heard of him, but obviously I was wrong. If so, I don't understand at all why you don't consider him worthy to be called a pianist (while you didn't seem to have objected to females such as Miss Universe 2005 being nominated).
By the way, when I said "Clayderman's music" I was using the term loosely, just as Madonna's music does not imply that it was written by her.
The only reson that you could conclude that I "didn't see to have objected", etc., is that I'd not bothered to mention that I do! - so, fair enough. No, for the record, serious and gifted pianists are one thing; Miss Universe and Mr Clayderman are quite another.I know; "all too loosely, indeed", said the composer(!)...Best,Alistair
Sure. No, I don't consider Mr Clayderman a serious pianist either. Although apparently he had to drop out of the Paris Conservatoire due to financial difficulties.
I don't suppose that he sufferes from those any more!Best,Alistair
I just love it! I can't stop watching it! It should win a prize of some sort! It's also so inspiring! That's one more reason why I love this forum: so many useful tips, videos, personalities, countries, etc.
Well, at least this is a refreshing return to normality.
So, normality means a homely, relatively not-so-attractive-looking woman?
