Okay, here are a few important thought-fragments for the day, from my walk this morning:

"My buns are getting bunnier"

"My hometown is so rural that even the sasquatch live in houses"

And, an important one from yesterday:

I know I am going to regret answering this, but what exactly are buns??

Here are a couple of very subtle clues:

I wear them on the hindside of my legs, right below my back.
They "fill out" the back of my jeans, right below my belt.
And, finally, I tend to sit upon them day after day, for hours upon hours.

Oh, I have to say that this reminds me of the fact that I spent a quite unfortunate amount of my days in 6th grade, sitting at the back of the room, daydreaming about and drawing up women's fashion.  One of the color combinations I loved was green and purple!

Now, this morning, since I'm developing a bigger wardrobe, I've spent a bit of an unfortunate amount of time deciding what to wear.  So, I really must go and be focused and such.  Bye bye for now!  :D

Hey!

One line that has always stuck with me, but I always kinda associated with youth and love but I suppose it describes me well enough is from a Jeff Buckley song (there's a few variations of it throughout the song). "Too young to hold on but too old to break free and run." Sometimes I'm think I'm crazy to be doing what I'm doing but at the same time, I'm too old to try anything else nor do I really want to.

Also my friend from college used to say this and it's kinda true: "Expect the worst. You may be pleasantly surprised." Helps with exam results and job interviews for me.

And to finish, I'm slowly learning "don't bite off more than you can chew" in terms of how much I expect to get done each day.

Here's a few of my favourites:

"Your ticket to the future is always blank."
"Dream as if you'll live forever. Live as if you'll die today." (as famously said by James Dean)
"Don't let people step on you lest you fancy yourself the life of a door mat."
My current to-do list:
* Yann Tiersen
~ La Valse d'Amélie
* Beethoven
~ "Pathétique" II. Adagio
* Petzold
Menuet in G minor (BWV 115)
* Satie
- Gymnopédie No. 3

I think this is an interesting, philosophical parallel to music making and art:

"It's easy to take off all your clothes and have sex.  People do it all the time.  But, opening up your soul to someone, Letting them into your spirit, thoughts, fears, future, hopes, dreams ... That's being naked."

I read this on one of those pages on FB (I don't know who, precisely, to reference, so I'll reference the page:  https://www.facebook.com/pages/Just-Feelin-Good/268038566543079), which I generally haven't subscribed to.  In the past few days I have found myself flipping through different ones, and having some of them somehow speak right to me in various ways.  This one helped me to actually understand myself a bit better.

 :P - Now, without drawing on the sex parallel, I will say that Nike's motto is helpful, too!  What I posted just helps me understand, somehow, what I've been balking at pianistically/musically and what seems so scary to me ... and why it all feels the way it does!  However, I think it needs to be something like:  "Ok, now I 'get' why it's so freaky ... it's time to stop wondering what in the world goes on with me, and just do it!"  :P  "even if, at first or at times, it's supah freak!"  :o

I don't think Nike would be able to fit all that on a t-shirt.

Do you need to put your heart into performing?  A lot of the pros I've seen are businesslike about it.  Maybe it's real, maybe it's acted.  I've usually been a little disappointed when I've learned more about what they do, how they do it, etc.  They lose their air of awe with me.

I'll make my own T-shirt for that.  It'll be good, you'll see.

Well, if there's something I've been coming to terms with lately, it's the fact that I exactly would like to put my heart into my life and have it be filled with living like that.  Ideally, in every moment. Why would I pursue something that takes this much time and effort if it were an empty endeavor?  Piano playing -or anything- shouldn't be in my life if it's a pull away from living it truly to myself.

What do you mean you are disappointed when you find out what they do and how they do it?  You mean like figuring out the illusion in some magic trick at the instrument, or rather how they live their lives and the way they think ... or what?

Disappointing when I've realized what they were actually doing was simpler than what they appeared to be doing.
