so, joking about penis length is wit?  nevermind.  i suppose it's a cross-culture phenomenon.  i just don't see what's so funny about it.  unless a man is getting measured for a pair of pants - i don't see how it affects anything excepting one's own personal life and mate.

i tend to like 'i love lucy' reruns.  yesterday's was how to get a man to do some work around the house.  lucy and her girlfriend decided that to get the bbq up and running they would pretend to start doing the work themselves.  that way - when they guys came around they would say 'no no no- that's not the way to do it' - and finish the job.

I didn't suggest that it was and I largely agree with what you write here, except that I've never encountered anyone getting "measured for a pair of pants" and having the measuring process taking penis length into serious consideration, but then, like so many other things (evidently), they seem to do and see things differently in Pianistimylvania. I did, however, once say to some people that length did matter, although at that time the subject of the conversation happened to be my string quintet and I was merely making the point that the length of any piece, whatever it is, should aim to be appropriate for what is expressed therein and that I hoped that this particular work didn't stray outside that principle...

The lady on the left had come from Denmark especially for that concert and she is married to the gentleman on the left who is also a pianist who will be playing a work of mine in Denmark soon. The lady on the left and the gentleman on the left each speak good English, but not only can I assure you that neither of them said this, I must register my amazement that you can actually hear a photograph - that's pretty astonishing, I have to say; whether you can get a hotel bothrobe around you may, of course, be quite another matter but one over which it will not be difficult to exercise due patience in the run-up to your revelation (if you'll pardon the term in this context)...

Of course, you could have heard what she actually said at the time the photograph was taken had you only attended the concert yourself...
