what does your mother call you?  i mean - not that you look like you need supervision or anything.  you never get into trouble i suppose?  maybe you should get into some.  (forget i said that).  anyways - you look very well behaved -so the word just came out and i meant it in a good way.  you know - cute 17-18 year old.  i tell my son stuff like that.  i also tell him when certain shirts make him look good.

oops.  well, pianists are always more mature looking.  the results of posting your pic here might take a day or so - but you'll probably have a line of suitable catlovers at your door.  cats are the way to find women.  the problem is - they won't go out for a walk.  so you have to carry them out when you see someone you want to meet.  or coax them to follow you.  or - forget they exist - and then they'll be tagging along right behind you. 

i remember someone telling me that the way a woman treated their cats determined their standing.

pretty girl.  i have two pretty girls, too.  but, one is slightly dysfunctional.  she likes to warm up singing wayyyyy up high.  and, i have to say - 'that is hurting my ears.'  then, she'll do this laugh that i can't quite imitate.  sometimes i think i drove her crazy.  but, i blame my craziness on my husband.  and my son does too.  i mean he blames his crazyiness on his dad.  we all blame each other.  it's the way dysfunctional families work.  someone has to take the blame. 

and, of course, being in my mid-fourties - my children hardly know what to expect from day to day.  one day mom is nice and normal - the next she may be completely off the wall.  crunching bags of cereal on the counter.  at least i don't dump over entire containers of powdered lemonade like i used to.  i used to tell my family about every six months - that i was goingt o make messes all over the house and that i wouldn't return until it was picked up.  but, of course, then later i'd say i'm sorry - and pick it up myself.  a little self loathing for giving in too soon.  they'd probably have picked up all the messes if i left for three days.  where to go?  especially since i have  alittle one - too.  she'd think i totally left. 

what is sad - is that my husband is pretty much normal - but i make him feel terrible some days.  like this morning - he tries to remember our monthly anniversary - and i say 'i don't want to hear it.  all i want is to go out and buy some new clothes.  and, have you halfway interested in coming with me.'  he's kinda out of touch with reality - in terms of romance.  it's like - i'm supposed to go get the clothes.  he doesn't see the idea of shopping WITH me.  and, when he does - he brings a book.  i tell him to ditch the book and the watch.  can't he just chill?  what is it.  type A personality.  anyways - he just called again and wished me happy anniversary.  it's hard to stay mad at him for long.  he was the one that thought of the idea of celebrating them monthly when we first married.

you see - you can be married or divorced - but still work things out (after the big 'catastrophes').  it's a mind set.  to keep forgiving the person of the supposed wrongs.  there's always something that makes people mad at one another.  like having to repeat something a zillion times.  basically, every so often, just having a tizzy fit - is sort of cathartic.

By the way people, this was in October 2006. My hair has grown alot in the last 7 months. It is by my neck and dangles on my shoulders, i also can manage to put it up............just. But i was only 11 here too, for my birthday is on November 28th. HAHAHAHA. Sorry, another spasm. I look crap in this pic, so i aint pretty, i look like a boy, yuck, no offense to boys, but i was cussed/teased about my hair, called a boy and called things like Richard and Dick head. But i stayed strong and here i am. Loving life. By the way, the uniform i am wearing is very traditional, for the school i go to is over 450 years old, was founded by Edward the 6th, and is a boarding school.....presenting.....................

i think you're pretty.  sometimes we don't like our own pictures when we're younger.  then, as you get older you say - yah, i was good looking then.  i think you have the princess di look. when you've still got baby skin and big sparkly eyes.  all my kids had freckles too.  i had a zillion when i was younger.  luck of the irish.  but, they fade. for me -i really do like my fourties.  they are way better than my twenties.  thirties were ok.  but, fourties -i just feel like a woman.  i know what i like.  i don't have to be perfect.  and, there's more time for 'me' again when my kids are at school.  like for practicing the piano.

but, of course, there are secrets to every beautiful woman.  one is the recent skin stuff that fades freckles and things.  you just dab it on and get rid of them earlier.  just don't wear a lot of makeup at your age (my advice).  keep the nice skin by working out. make-up clogs your pores.  if you keep the good skin until your early twenties - then you can wear make-up in the evenings and not worry about your skin so much.  but, if you cover it up every day - it can't breathe - for one thing.  skin is a living organ.

can't change the uniforms - either, i guess. but, hey - you can wear earrings and stuff can't you?  get your ears pierced.  and medium nails.  just keeping polished.  and i like the longer hair myself, too.  mine is at mid-back.  just got some highlights put in it.  but, beauty is also on the inside, right?  so every so often - be nice to someone. 

ps you have a really cute nose, too.  you realize people pay for upturned noses?!

That picture was taken just after the captain had sailed through the tiny gap between the 2 rocks.

The islanders used to climb the cliffs to harvest the seabirds.

I stayed in a cottage on Harris, which strictly forbade any washing on the Sabbath. I also heard that the swings in the play park were padlocked.

If going to the Western Islands, never run out of petrol on a Sunday.

There were only 36 left at the time of evacuation and there had not been a birth or a marriage for some years.

(just kidding with you).  my hubby had laser surgery.  it's the best thing ever invented.  he can see like he did in highschool.  colors.  clarity.  doesn't need glasses to drive.

the thing is - you are young.  try exercise first.  several hours of intense workouts.  it oxygenates everything including your eyes.  and try eyedrops every day.

I am young but I have been short-sighted since around age 6-7, all the exercise in the world wont help that, though I do regularly exercise 

It's interesting to consider the impact something as simple as getting glasses has had on my life, the social difference, the difference in activities I may have avoided, and the inherent decrease in confidence, probably made me more introverted too.
