hmmm ... I just noticed that she starts her C scale at the third in the RH.  I am "just" learning how to do that (well, in the past couple of months ... but I haven't been too consistent with it).

Okay, Lola girl, thanks very much for the inspiration and for what I'm learning from you because it's a lot, but Valentina's still my heroine over you right now.  I know, we're all different, etc..  Something I like about Lisitsa is she's got a nice kind of elegance about her musical thinking ... it's not all about the sharp edges of one thing (if you get my drift ... wink, wink), and there is just something quite joyful about it all with her.  And, she really does have some pretty mad skillz.  Obviously she's got some looks, too, and even though that is definitely noticeable, the music is actually still first.  In fact, I'm obssessively watching/listening to her play Op. 10 no. 8 on YouTube right now! 

But, please never forget, I could probably squat Valentina, too!

I doubt it's just you who feels/thinks that way.  But, speaking for myself, just to clarify, just because she's a kind of "heroine" for me doesn't mean to me that she has every last morsel of what I'd like my own playing to be like.  There are certain aspects about her playing that I appreciate and which are good for me to learn from.  Does she have a huge monsty in her core?  hmmm ...

This chap has so far uploaded about 150 historical piano concerto recordings, including many that do not appear to exist on commercial recordings.

There are a hell of a lot of plinkers, but some good works as well.

Heaven for me anyway.

There is also the Hexameron channel where it is dedicated to the most obscure piano repertoire but mainly focusing on 20th century music. Mainly atonal works but may occasionally jump across a Liszt and an awesome work.

A video I found. Kissin doesn't play it as good as Horowitz or Sofronitsky but still I think he did a tremendous job in learning this insanely impossibly difficult piece. Quite good for a 16 year old even as a child prodigy.

i love that blumenfeld etude i have it on playback loop on my pandora radio account....

this one is a cool change of pace (unless you're just totally against pop piano), still i like techno beats and with this kind of instrumentation

This is an incredible piano video?!  I think you should be in the audition room.  Not that I don't appreciate your playing, it's very good - though a bit Strait-jacketed - but here they put things that amaze.  Or should, at least.

It's amazing the teens that abound these days that can technically play anything at the drop of a hat! 
But I don't find this boy especially special (!).  It's a very tight unexpressive rendition of one of the monuments of romanticism.  It's all pretty dry and monotonous.
