Heard that before.

The full name of a certain protein spans 189,819 letters. Thankfully, it's also called titin.

Along those lines...

Blondes have ~140,000 hair follicles on their head, brunettes ~100,000, redheads ~85,000

Everyone gets a bigger GSR when shown a caricature of their mother than when they are shown a real picture of their mother. GSR is a system which measures one's emotional arousal to something.

It's even more amazing when you count them.

There are ten times as many microbial cells as human body cells.  So by the numbers, we are 90% bacteria.  We're a colony where we are the voting minority.

One of the words in Shakespeare's Love's Labours Lost, "honorificabilitudinitatibus", is an anagram for "Hi ludi, F. Baconis nati, tuiti orbi", which means "These plays, born of Francis Bacon, are preserved for the world", implying that Bacon wrote Shakespeare.

- Did you know that:
 "Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo"
is a grammatically valid sentence in the English language?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buffalo_buffalo_Buffalo_buffalo_buffalo_buffalo_Buffalo_buffalo

"James while John had had had had had had had had had had had a better effect on the teacher" is an English sentence.

The sentence can be understood more clearly by adding punctuation and emphasis:
James, while John had had "had", had had "had had"; "had had" had had a better effect on the teacher.

Surely it would be more surprising if he had homosexual relations with other women.

That's exactly my point: who cares? At least those who have trouble with their own emancipation seem to care. Why else those systematic stains on the sacred heritage of famous people?

As a matter of fact, to get this over with really fast, I suggest creating a computer program in which we can enter a certain database of suspect homosexuals for ALL nationalities:
1) any male musician who ever had lessons from a male piano teacher;
2) any male musician with at least some signs of "effeminacy" in any of his works;
3) any male musician who ever married a Jewish woman, since this seems to "prove" some hidden deficiency of masculinity;
4) any male musician who ever wrote somewhat too kind letters to male recipients;
5) any male musican of small posture with close friends who were big;
6) any male musician who plays or played just too well
7) any male musician with roots in Russia, since Imperial Russia as a whole was pervert;
etc. etc.
You see how easy this is?

My intentions are much purer than your words seem to suggest. Sexual orientation is any person's private business. We need to respect a person's right to self-determination even after his/her death, and we should eliminate any biases that might occur based on such factors. Nobody has a right to make deductions about it in public without evidence, the more so when the person is no longer alive to even deny it. Who cares whether pianist/composer X was a zoophile, for example, who was endowed enough to satisfy an elephant cow? It has absolutely no bearing on the person's artistic output.

So what about the female composers/musicians?

They do, luckily enough, not fall victim so easily to this kind of insinuations. Probably because "the field" has traditionally been dominated by men.

blackboards in porn.

came across this looking for a science explanation/reference.

intended to be for humor and safe for work (not an adult site).

there's a watchgroup that does analysis of background 'blackboards' in adult film for accuracy, and applauds those that go the the extra mile:

https://blackboardsinporn.blogspot.com/

super funny. especially since some surprisingly complex high level thinking is apparent in choice and difficulty of spotted material (think super difficult theorems and laws)

If every permutation was a piece of paper, that would be 728 stacks of paper from the Earth to Pluto.
For the very last layer, if it's already oriented, there are 21 different scenarios for what the side of the last layer could look like.

A 7x7x7 cube has 19.5 duoquinquagintillion, 195000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 (160 0's) different permutations and combinations.

That's all of the atoms in the VISIBLE universe x 10^80

That's convenient because you can just take all of the atoms in the universe and square it.

The reporter must have been a bit confused...1,4 million people? Maybe 500 years ago...There were already 4,9 when I was in school, and now it's over 5 million.

And there are more cars now (registered 2,9 million in 2011), although quite a few saunas too (some estimates say about 2 million).

If we could reduce the world's population to a village of 100 people, with all existing human ratios renaming the same, the demographics would look something like this:

The village would have 60 Asians, 14 Africans, 12 Europeans, 8 Latin Americans, 5 from the USA and Canada, and 1 from the South Pacific.

51 would be male, 49 would be female

82 would be non-white; 18 white

67 would be non-Christian; 33 would be Christian

80 would live in substandard housing

67 would be unable to read

50 would be malnourished and 1 dying of starvation

33 would be without access to a safe water supply

39 would lack access to improved sanitation

24 would not have any electricity, and the 76 that do have electricity, most would only use it for light at night

7 people would have access to the Internet

1 would have a college education

1 would have HIV

2 would be near birth; 1 near death

5 would control 32% of the entire world's wealth; all five would be US citizens

33 would be receiving (and attempting to live on) only 3% of the income of "the village"
