Granted, I'm only about 2/3rds of the way through after 25-ish hours, and it's definitely a great game, but I don't think it makes my top five -- especially after the developers decreased the damage that spawn hazards delt. One of the things that I liked in Silksong was that it felt a lot more punishing than the original Hollow Knight did, and it was actually moderately challenging even outside of boss fights. Now, the game is practically free outside of a few bosses, at least in my experience.

Granted, I enjoy extremely difficult games (Celeste, Rain World, etc.), so my opinions definitely don't reflect that of most people. But at least for me, Silksong will never be "the best game ever made."

Kirby is pretty easy outside of the boss rushes, which can be absurdly difficult. I legitimately find some of them more challenging than Hollow Knight's final boss rush, lmao.

I've personally been avoiding spoilers as much as possible. One of my favorite games is completely ruined if you get spoiled on certain parts of it, and (just to be safe) when I'm playing a new game I operate under the assumption that that property holds for it as well.
