thalbergmad, you are too old for bouter boogie and we don't want her to end up like your last girlfriend. but, i think you are meant for a surprise relationship (no crystal ball, just conjuring). my husband was jumped at 40. he was like beethoven, always admiring women from a distance. i challenged him on this - even though at times he would be forward - he also was scared a woman would do him in. when i came to visit him - i just decided i wanted to marry him. why do i see this happenning to you? because you are not actively going out and looking for trouble. so, trouble will have to come to you. keep on hiking and stuff. she's probably waiting at the top of a mountain or on a bike trail somewhere. not on piano forum, ok. you don't want introvert -introvert (or did you say you were extrovert?) you need someone who will pick you up by the ears and let you know who's boss.
