youre way too old for her man....

Oh, I'm far too old for anybody. 18 years old is positively ancient!

And English girls are indeed wonderful. Not regretting going to uni in the UK in the slightest!

Haha. It's fantastic to meet a fellow Loughburian. What a small world. I went to LGS for a year, from 1997-98. I was in Mr. Jeremy Parton's class, and my favorite teacher was Mr. Graham Campbell, the French teacher. I enjoy reminiscing, so feel free to message me privately. Are you in university now? I left LGS after my first year to go to Texas, where my dad found a job. I'm now living near San Francisco, attending Stanford.

I lived in Thorpe Acre (Chiswick Drive). Before LGS I went to Richard Cobden Primary School and Thorpe Acre Junior School.

The guy is black, but where did the "gangsta cool guy" part come from? He could be a dork, nerd/boffin for all we know. Are all black males automatically "gangsta cool guys" from birth? Damn, I'm jealous.

Second, there are actually plenty of "black gangsta cool guys" who were legendary pianists. Have you heard of Bud Powell, Art Tatum, Thelonious Monk, Oscar Peterson? True gangstas and truly amazing artists. They were black pianists who took the piano pretty seriously. They played jazz music, but that doesn't mean they produced music any less serious or profound than Beethoven or Rachmaninov (and that's not some political correctness-fueled exaggeration).

I think that "black person" comment was a typo: he simply meant "*."

You are definetly right, i think 'black gangsta cool guy" is basically a stereotype that society  has placed upon Black males, but you mainly see this in movies, police brutality vidoes, etc.
But i am no where near a dork, nerd, or boffin(what the hell is a boffin, lol), and i wouldnt classify myself a "gangsta",but i could act like one if i was provoked, but mainly i wouldn't becuz i dont carry myself in that kind of manner, but i am cool guy ;D ;D ::),lol.

But i know 6th 4 didnt mean anything by it,thats why i found it funny.
And i've heard of Art Tatum and Bud Powell but not those other two, i'll be sure to look into them. And yeah i changed my mistake, i had to make it plural becuz it wudnt let me use the other word.

Boffin is British English for nerd.

My point was: IF you were a black nerd, it would be insulting if all your friends told you to "stop acting white" or "stop acting Asian" because you were supposed to be a "black gangsta cool guy." I think you'd agree.

Oscar Peterson and Thelonious Monk are awesome. Monk was a real legend. He was the most minimalist of the four (meaning he didn't play "so many notes," but what notes/chords he did play were very carefully thought out). You can find a few clips of them on YouTube.

LMAO!! A black nerd...acting white or asian, i do get your point and i do agree, but i dont know if you say it over there or not, but if a black person acts white,no offense to anyone,we'd call'em an Oreo since their skin is black and they act white on the inside, get it??

I will look up some of there vids then, thanks for the info! :D

I dunno, black nerds r seriously rare + black people just generally seem more chill/ less nerdish

Ofcourse these are sweeping generalisations that dont apply to everyone

I dont get the word "***", anyone whos listened to ne RnB/Rap/Hip-hop will realise that word gets used so frequently its lost all offensive meaning pretty much, which i guess is both good and bad.
I wish i was what i was when i wanted to be who i am now.

i never did take very good pics.  i look better in person.  alwaystheangel, you look like a sophisticated lady and i hope your essay turns out well!  thalbergmad, i think we both could crash the forum.  stevie is probably pretty good looking if he'd onl post his head with his body.  i'm never sure how real people are until they do that.

i'll try to get a pic sometime or other.  the cell phone needs an attachment plug to connect to the internet.  of course, after taxes, we will be eating beans for two weeks.  just finding all the paperwork, whew!  the only thing about pennsylvania is the ridiculous taxation.

Thanks Angel! Cal and I have many of these "thriller" songs. It's ironic, one week we'll compose a thriller and the next week we'll compose a Gospel tune. Of course we also write normal love songs like this one.

I really enjoy these.  How about a gospel that you metioned?
I liked the other one better bit less movie/sleepless in seatle-ish, quite a diversity in music, which you don't see very often.  Piano bits are great!
