I'll admit most of or international beers like Bud light and Budweiser aren't the greatest. However, our vast country and climate allow for many micro breweries, some of the best beer in the country doesn't leave state borders. What do you have Guinness?

Probably not, then again our politicians don't need have "votes" just a boat load of money. News of corruption in the US government is an every day thing unfortunately. So much so there has been talk of our last presidential election having been rigged. So no, they probably weren't sober but does it really matter?
