Yeah, that's how Clark Kent got away with just taking his glasses off.

"Woah! Where did Clark go? Like he was here a minute ago dude."
"Awesome Bill, like a totally different person"

hello!  i liked everything except the bike near the beehive.  you're much nicer than thal.  thanks for scaring him away.  he makes me cry all the time.  he thinks it's funny.  if he was not in england, i'd go to his house and tell his mother on him.  i think she actually controls him better than anyone else.  she'd take his computer away and that would be that.

i've been gone due to mild depression.  you certainly cheered me up.  yes. the dark black background is to blame.

also, the fact that i cannot and have nto been able to work any sort of technology and cannot post a pic or any of my playing due to stupdiity.  i'm going to have bicycle accident today on purpose.  but, i'm not going near beehives.  i'm going to just have a slight accident.  one in which i end up on the side of the road with amnesia.  i will then be posted by the newspaper.  you know - a female version of that fellow who could do nothing but play the piano.

Actually it's not a beehive. I don't know what exactly it is, I guess it's just for decoration. It's a giant egg made of stones. Perhaps something traditional in that region.
Please don't have an accident. Pianoforum needs you. And do you know that this guy who could do nothing but piano was faking?

i see!  an egg made of stones.  somehow i envision it cut in half and you standing in the middle sort of like venus.  but, a cleaner version with clothes on and holding a bike over your head or something.  like a random bicycle genius just born.

you really know how to pack.  how do you keep that pack on the front wheel?  must be really difficult going up hills.  i travel very light.  even my bicycle is light.  it's a carbon fibre bike.  i can pick it up with one hand.  keep getting offers of $500. for it - but i've had it so long it's like my piano.  i don't want a new bike.  the only thing bad about racing bikes is that they have very thin tires and they pop a lot if you go over rocks.  so i stay on the pavement.  i am known for very tight curves at fast speeds.  i also have premonitions of rocks and bugs and pieces of wood and potholes coming up - and usually never hit them.  i can lick my finger and tell which way the wind is blowing, too, and i always head in the opposite direction to gain more strength (actally, the wind never seems to blow in my favor - but it's ok).  late afternoon is usually harder coming home.

mornings here, we get no wind.  it is beautiful this morning.  usually i do housework and go in the late afternoon and evening.  ok.  off to ride.  no, i won't have an accident.  but, am seriously looking for someone to do one of those videos for me.  how much does that cost?

Lau, I think your bench is a bit too close, which might be why you're slouching.  Your knees should just be slightly under the piano.  Or another way of doing measuring it is, when you hold your arms straight out (without bending your elbows), and your hands are in fists, your knuckles should just touch the fallboard at the back of the keys.  So you might find that you would have to sit a bit more forward on the bench instead of directly centered on it, as well.

This way your arms are more free to move, and it gives you better posture.  I would also think that controlling the amount of pedal you are using would be easier if you weren't right over top of it as much, but that's just my speculation. :)

Dear Pianistimo: like my dentist, you are one of the few constants of my life. Your irrelevant, nimble-witted chatter keeps me from going insane. Were I to meet you in real life, were you not married, and were I to convert to the fundamentalist Christian sect of your choosing, I would have fallen for your oblivious charm. However, since none of the aforementioned conditions can be met in this lifetime, I can only languish as a secret, anonymous admirer.

The rub: please post some pictures of your lovely self. Even if you aren't so lovely, mine eyes would tell my mind soothing lies.

stevieie986,  you again living proof of what i was trying to tell elspeth.  i mean, who would have guessed since you or i have neither quibbled or gambled together.  i have no idea whether you ride a bicycle, either, which could be more of a determining factor than what denomination of church you were raised in.  or possilbe not raised in.

now, as i see it - if i were to write a book - it would have to be on the bizarreness of the male mind.  i see, as your last small line (but not insignificatn) 'my eyes would tell me soothing lies.'  now that is just stupid.  but, nice in a wierd sort of way.  maybe it is better that people think of me as fat.  because, frankly, though i like attention - it embarasses me in person.

but, seriously, i am flattered.  i think this forum is full of very smart and talented people.  it's too badm1469left.  she's about the only one that could get us all together somewhere for a sort of 'piano fest.'  say, in siberia.  it could be dangerous.  but, that's all i live for anymore.  (school is in a week and a half - i'm trying to make sure they have all their stuff so they don't come back in the door five minutes after i drop them off at the bus).  then, i will quickly try to pick up the mess and have some time to practice.

I do ride a bicycle, but only at school (i.e. university). Which brings me to sheepishly admit that (subtracting a decade) I'm almost young enough to be your son. Which adds a fourth corollary to the aforementioned three limiting conditions that prevent our immediate and permanent union.

I must indulge in a bit of self-congratulation: the last line came in a flash of rhetorical genius. It may be quite "stupid," but it most certainly is true. There's more to a lady than    her [insert preferred anatomical parts]. What a male finds attractive in a mate is an aura of obliviousness, of being lost and wishing to be reclaimed, of unfocused digression that reveals the superb meandering clarity of the female mind.

no.  not really.  if i didn't like this forum, i'd not keep coming back.  you and many others are very important determinants in defining my actual feelings about some aspects ofmusic.  despite how i sometimes appear confident, it's actually just as stevieie986 says.  it's a good place to think (even subconsciously) about music and other things.

even though i say the male mind is bizarre.  it's really not.  it's just different.  you see, i can't get my husband to always say what he thinks - but he's pretty easy to read.  sometimes i just say 5 or 6 thoughts that i think he's thinking - and then usually one of them is pretty close.   sometimes i'm way off.

women do think very deeply on subjects - it's just that we have to have time to merge ideas.  it's like our days sometimes (combining home/office/school)  you sometimes don't know which hand is your right hand - but when things get less busy then you have time to think and sort it out.

my strategy lately is to try to get things that i hate doing done first.  it is completely the opposite of what i used to be like 20 years ago.  i'd go for long extended bike rides when i didn't want to do the dishes.  now, i'm doing all this responsible stuff- and feel like switching again - but I CAN't.  it's a terrible connundrum.  i felt guilty yesterday for having fun in the middle of the day.  this is where youth comes in handy.

anyway, irealize i am a decade or more older than many here - but very smart people on this forum - so am always learning something.  it's my school away from school.  i think depression is only permanent when you let it be.  am not feeling that way today.  i think it's just end of summer - get the kids back in school blues.  tommorrow is kindergarten orientation.  that's going to be fun for my daughter because she needs more kids to play with now anyways and it's not like a punishment that i'm trying to get rid of her.  also, she's only going for 3 hours (now how is it that some schools have ALL DAY kindergarten?).  susan

why are you smiling and clenching your fists at the same time?  i think your brother is the cause of much stress in your life.  next time, give him the bathrobe and you get the leather coat.

ps why do so many people in england leave their christmas trees up all year.  is it a way to save money?  or does it stave off depression?  do you often just check under the tree to see if something came accidentally on new years or birthday?  say, did you know that they are a fire hazard?

I am usually always doing something with my hands, a habit.  And what the freak makes you think i am from england? Did you think there might be a possibility that it was christmas? Oh, I see: This picture is old, it's from last year, same with the other picture. So no, our tree is taken down.
