Lots of symbolism/code too. I see apples up there. And a pear?
*Bob wonders what long, slender, apparently crushed fingers represent.* Something going in the 'wrong' direction possibly, haha. Or maybe just the artist's inability to draw hands.
I did read a comment a while ago about what was "in," correct, and just the way they did things or their concept of what things should look like vs. drawing or painting in a photo realistic way. No photos? No artists trying to draw or paint and have it look like a photo. Were they unable? Even in Realism, you know it's still a painting. It's not like you look at it and then realize, "Oh, wow, that was actually done with pens? I thought it was a photograph."
Like this one. I'm even thinking about double checking that this was actually done with a pen.
https://www.amusingplanet.com/2012/08/samuel-silva-incredible-photorealistic.htmlI guess you tell on the edges. The other ones on that page look more drawn than this one.
I think I'm more impressed now... if this was actually hand drawn, without tracing.

"Amazing what Samuel Silva is doing with a dozen colored balls. The nature of the genre also determines the difficulty level, but it does not spend 60 to 70 hours on a single drawing, so that the end result is a photorealistic representation. The creator has some attraction to cats, and of course, for many, this is a bit tedious topic, but let's look at this, since how many people are capable of mimicking this with a ballpoint pen? Worth to see DeviantART's gallery, because there are more interesting and beautiful graphics for the visitor looking for visual stimuli!"
