According to Trifonov, these works present "a thoughtful, caring side of Tchaikovsky’s personality. We can imagine him sitting by a warm fire, lost in reminiscence."

Her new album represents another shift of focus: Here, a selection of baroque pieces by Bach, Scarlatti, Couperin, Rameau and others lead up to Rachmaninoff's Variations on a Theme by Corelli.
