I think I'm going crazy! I'm just afraid all the time and everything seems suspicious... if people are like on the stairs or if i hear them walking and then I can't hear them anymore and I don't hear them opening and closing the door and if someone's door is open for a while and if someone is carrying something (like a basket) or if I see someone going into the basement... I just want to stay there and see what they're doing... and I have to force myself to keep walking and then I can't stop thinking about it! so yes I am going crazy!!!!!!!!!!!! great!
How about putting a camera there and a sign "video surveillance" and then open a free livestream account and publish it on the internet. Just an idea. Perhaps a weird one...I have seen bird cameras every now and then on youtube.
No it's not weird, it's a great idea! Only it's a little complicated... because if I put there a camera someone could just take it and that wouldn't be cool, then the battery of the camera wouldn't last for a very long time so I would need electricity there but I can't get it on the stairs... and also I would need a computer if I wanted to livestream it... so that's why it's complicated... I really really wish I could do that! It would be great... I wouldn't have to be so afraid all the time and it would be so cool to watch! But I don't know what I could do about those things...
Yes! I like your own voice
aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ...... it's. quiet. here.*soaks it in like never before*
I'm currently overcome with the Great Wall of sleepiness ... argh ... I still have a full hour before the rest of my students come and I wish I could practice, but I'm SOOooo sleepy that I'm not getting anything done when I do.*sits here contemplating*
HEY - Do you know what anybody? I'm seriously thinking about teaching a beginning violin class this next year ... hee hee. We'll see how long I feel that way for (and if I break out the violin to prepare for it) ...
*Signs up*
my arms/hands/fingers feel like they are practically glowing with having been used in practice.
*Touches the glowing palms of glory*
I'm trying not to get TOO excited, but I came from an orientation at the school where I'm going to be teaching starting in the Fall, and it was really super neat! It's exactly the type of education I would have wanted growing up, and these are exactly great people to be working with (they are all super nice and smart). And, I was introduced to the parents and even the Principal of the school brought up one of my own teachers to the whole crowd , in a little story, introducing me ... hee hee (which he learned about during an interaction over pizza). And then parents came up to me afterwards and wanted to know what all I might be offering and saying how their child is interested in music . It's kind of cool .
I say, hello music in me and hello to musical people!*greets everybody with a curtsy*
Hello musical m1469! *bows* *goes practicing*
. *watches for Wolfi to appear on Compound Time*
Congratulations on your teaching job, m1469!
*Clicks on start practice and runs to the piano* 3...2...1..GO!
Okay, so far there is at least one General Music class filled, plus at least 1 or 2 people overfilling it ... if more keep signing up, they will probably create another class. Then, there is at least 1 beginning piano class filled up, with 2 extra people signed up... so, again, they may create yet another class if more continue to sign up. Then, between the two violin classes I am offering, one for K-2 and one for 3-8, there are enough for at least one class ... so, they might combine them if there's not enough for both. That would *not* be ideal, but I'd do it! AND, between both of the choirs that I have offered (a concert choir and a chamber choir) there is getting to be enough for at least ONE class if they get combined. That would be OK. Also, I have to check again and see, but I think there is an "intermediate" piano class getting close. My goal is at least 5 classes!*please let me pass the test on State Laws and Civil Rights and please let there not be more complications and please let these things not be surprising more than they already are!*Already I have to get an emergency license! This is sometimes nervy, but *hopefully* this year will be a bit more sane than last year, and all.*watches class lists for more people signing up*
I wish you the best of luck! Sounds like a nice life to lead. : )
m1469 what's the difference between a concert choir and a chamber choir? I really don't know, I think I should but I don't. :-And I hope you pass those tests!
Well, generally, a chamber choir is a bit smaller and more advanced - it's like the varsity choir while the concert choir is the JV (junior varsity). In my case, that was my ideal, but we'll see if that's what is achieved! Thanks for the wishes on my tests! I got off the phone with the State not too long ago, only to find out that there is another hurtle ... argh ... but, my whole Summer has been a big yo-yo, and I'm really trying to get away from being sucked into that emotional roller coaster! So, we'll see if it all works out! If it does, it *seems* like it'd be cool, if it doesn't, I'm just going to have to trust that there is something else that's right! I haven't got a choice!*goes back to piano*
Thanks very much, Fortissimo! I mean, FF, I mean, fleetfingers .
haha ... well, now off the phone just yet again, and now it's totally good news ... what the. It looks like I will definitely not have any problem with the state now (whereas just earlier, it seemed it was not going to be able to happen at all!), and even the Principal welcomed me aboard .
Thanks m1469! I hope everything will be great! I wish I could be in your classes! Oh well
Could anyone tell me how do you know if a piece is in C-major or in A-minor? :- I mean if it first looks as if it was in C-major but it starts on A and ends on A, does that mean it's in A-minor? :- Maybe? I really don't know... we weren't doing any minor scales yet... just all the major ones.
I'm getting my hair cut soon ... I think I *really* want to go short again ...
Shorter than before, or as it was? From a concerned admirer.
Thanks! I think that would probably be fun .In most cases, you would look to the last chord to be the deciding factor! There are exceptions, but if this were for a class situation, most examples for even the first two years of University Music Theory would not throw you for an unexpected loop, as far as that goes. One of the exceptions (though there are others, too) is a classic Bach maneuver, and giving a picardy third at the very end of the piece. If you aren't familiar with this term, it's when an entire piece could be considered in a minor key, but the very last chord goes to the parallel Major! So, if you have a piece in g minor, a picardy third would be where the very last chord were a G Major! I like picardy thirds ... they're good people .
Red hair and a smile *can't stop smiling*
Oh m1469, you have a lot of admirers here
