It took my like an hour to assemble the floor stands for the monitors.

And I haven't even got the organ+pedals up yet, nor the mixer, nor the digital piano, nor the Rhodes, nor even some sheet music stands.

Yeah. right.

(No, it's true, I've never blown the drivers out of the little KRK monitors, even using tons of bass....it's called restraint!)

Hmm… 🤔. Well I know it’s not what clocks normally look like. 3 of the 12 numbers are different but normal clocks are still basically a base 12 system. Just like feet and inches, months in the year, chromatic notes in the octave.
Why they don’t teach that in school …? Beats me, but maybe they should. Base 12 is clearly the superior counting system.
Factors of 10: 4 (1, 2, 5, 10)
Factors of 16: 5 (1, 2, 4, 8, 16)
Factors of 12: 6 (1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 12)
Base 12 wins.

Now I eagerly await my roasting  ;D

By that, I presume you mean I was right? Anyway, let me clarify it for Klavieronin who seems to have disappeared recently from the conversation.

Base 12 systems with base 10 labels.

IT'S NOT A BASE 12 SYSTEM...   



 The clock uses modulo twelve (which is not a base 12 numbers system - it just means that the numbers cycle through 1-12 e.g. 11:00am 12:00pm, 1:00pm etc...), but our number system is still decimal. Just because you segment day into 24 segments (hours - hence why the 24-hour system is beneficial if failing to mention the am/pm, very useful for computers), and the hour into 60 minute fragments does not mean we use the base 12 numbering system; otherwise we'd have times like X:2E (Try figuring out what time that's meant to be)... I'll give you a hint:

First of all - if the British hadn't colonised this country, it wouldn't be what it is today. Yes, it might be a little different and it might have had a different culture, different population density and whatnot, but it wouldn't be the great country it is today.

You've got Britain that is just turning into an absolute TRASH-PILE with immigration going through the roof just waltzing into Britain and getting free money, housing and a whole bunch of crap from the hard tax-paying citizens who are embarrassed about their country nowadays...

Then you've got America who is being run by an absolute tyrant of a man who is now just rounding people up and claiming they're terrorists so they can be shipped off the country; while telling the mayor of LA to 'sod off' because they don't agree with each other while the city tears itself apart from being ruled under the iron thumb of Trump.

And here in Australia... while he have a weak, pissant of a man running the country (Albanese) who wouldn't win a fight with an 8 year old; we have great housing that isn't too expensive (if you were smart enough to buy before 2022 and saw the warning signs), and fantastic coffee - so much so we told Starbucks to fxck off, because we don't want their milky crap here.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else thank you very much... so I'm grateful to the British who stumbled over here and made this country what it is today.

And technically the King is the head of state now... the 'Queen' died almost 3 years ago. For goodness sake J_Tour - keep up with the times.

Like I said.  The queen!  Or do you not know much about your head of state?  He's always been a big old queen!

He's as straight as an arrow... He may be a bit of a ponce; and by that I mean a silver spoon up his arse and a stiff upper lip, but he ain't a queen.

Maybe not in the literal sense....but he's such a fool, and always been.  For the past thirty years or so he's always spouting off about some ridiculous conspiracy theory or some such twaddle.

Not that it matters; it just tends to populate the British press whenever he goes on some inane rant, which can be distracting.

Obviously, as an American, I'm in no position to judge your head of state nor head of government....ahem....Scott Morrison.....trust me, I'm very much aware of "some problems" with US governance as well as the "choices" of my compatriots....

But I still think it would have been better if the French prevailed in the North American "front" back in the day.  I don't think the French would have massacred with such glee the aboriginals.
