Yes, it looks like it's about that time of the year... Time to wash the dishes again.

It must be that time of the decade for your bath, too.

There's probably a joke about the distance vs. smell.

That's daily at least.

Plastic silverware, paper plate, and plastic cups mean there's not much to wash ever.

Not happy.
Have spent hours of agonising pain - all afternoon - trying to work out why weeks of work has gone to hell in a handbasket.
Thought i would lose days and days of work.
But then I found what the problem was.
A simple typo - i put a '1' where there should have been an 'i'.
Ffs. Time to go to the pub. I may be some time lol

The possibility that someone trolls online and points their troll identity at a real, innocent, unaware person.

And why someone would invest so much time trolling.

It's probably the attention and reaction of people that's the reward though.

Several forums for this stuff?  I would think Nils can ban the ip address.  He'll have to step in at some point...

The internet age.

https://www.pianoworld.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/2393584/The_Fake_&quot%3BPandora_Sel.html

The lengths someone(s) will go to... I can understand a little joke, but the investment of time... The end result doesn't seem to justify the work involved.

Although, it's always the same idea... You don't find rational in irrational.

Remembering someone refilling a Damp Chaser thing in a piano right before a performance, commenting on that it had gone bone dry again... and probably had been for a while.  So it would have adjusting the humidity all during that performance.

Yeah, I was disappointed when I glanced through it.  Gave up reading it.  Looks like pop.  And I'm guessing it doesn't quite apply to us (music people).  I think we'd be more likely to listen to more and to keep listening to things once we find them.  But... I bet there's a trend for everyone of easing back and just listening to the same area of music.

Saw a video of an author.  If I had only read the ideas, I would have been more interested, but I saw the person first.  I wasn't impressed.  Looked like an ordinary person, spouting out something they heard somewhere.

Interesting effect.  Lots of that online I'm sure.  Lots around before the internet I'm sure.

I may even be doing that here....

Why is that ?

He seldom bring his sheets, he expects me to copying all sheet for him. He plays too fast and slow down in the difficult parts, he rejects my proposals, he want to play way too difficult pieces and work on them instead of my suggestions, he doesnt talk. He just say "hello", and "no" -nothing more. I talk cheerfully to him as soon as we meet, but afterwards Im sooo irritated  >:(

I'm not a music tutor, I don't know how old your pupil is but he comes across as a bit shambolic and therefore this will show in his music and practice, etc.   If I were a tutor I would encourage more discipline.   :)

There's definitely something with getting the heart rate up to 80+% max heart rate.  That and stretching.  Very relaxing.  It's capturing the good stuff from the push part.  Upgrades...

That might be one to let him discover his playing is kind of crappy.  Listening or demonstrating somehow, so it dawns on him...

Sad world...  Saw a lady at the store today.  Couldn't tell if she was pregnant or just overweight her abs were protruding that much.

And then I kept wondering.  I was waiting in line and she was in front of me.  I couldn't tell by the products she was buying, although she did have something like four dozen eggs.

The Music Banter website doesn't seem to have Classical music thread.  Are you a member Michael?

Just did a search and found the site is run by someone going by the name of Rockafella Skank  as (the management ).   If you click on the name you may be able to  message that person.

Not my scene though.     :-\

Hi Compline,

The registrant is the C.E.O. of Advameg, Inc. - and probably this is not the owner of the musicbanter website. ;)

Interesting....

https://mysocialsherpa.com/the-ultimate-retaliation-pranking-my-roommate-with-targeted-facebook-ads/

So, I'm thinking, even if I've cleared everything from my computer for cookies, etc. there's still going to be some kind of signature from the computer info, ip address, etc... And then someone else could have info that includes me... And I end up with targeted advertising based on that.  As soon as something thinks it's close enough to me, it starts tailoring ads for me.

Overweight people in diabetes and cholesterol drug commercials.  Sure, maybe the drug "solved" some reading, but I'm still thinking if they're overweight/out-of-whack... A drug that changes one piece of the puzzle isn't going to solve it really.
