Hm.  Say something fell on it or it got hit by a car, just a tap but that killed it.

So it's actually edible.

Would you eat it?

Probably if well prepared.

I wouldn't eat my cats though because I only like to eat meat from animals with wings or fins...unless there's nothing else to eat, then I would even eat you ;)

Whats on my mind is.....Quantum Mechanics. The double slit experiment and Delayed Quantum Erasure. This is truly mind bending.

Why should they, every day life is quite insignificant after all :)

I'm wondering if there's a key combination for a heart. Like if I wanted to put "I heart Chooka" as my profile signature.

Googling sounds like a lot of work for this project.

Interesting thought from the past....

Is it "cheating" in some way if you just memorize everything for a test?

If you knew what notes/info you needed for a test, something that would be helpful to have with you during an exam, how much different is it to memorize that info and mentally take it with you into a test?  Or even memorize it and spit it back out first thing before even taking the test?  Instead of walking in with a cheat sheet, you temporarily hold it in your head and then spit it out right away.

It's completely legit.  But how far away from cheating is that?

You never hear drug dealers who make a big deals say something like, "I'm going to save some of this money for retirement."

Not that I'm around any drug dealers to hear that.

I was thinking 'what if I had done x instead of music?'  That type of thinking.  Except that's about as far as it gets.  I noticed my brain grinds to halt right away when I think that.  'I should done x... and then... '  And then my brain just says no.

Like the Schrodinger cat being in two states, the presenter said everything is in two places.  If you remove everything but the material, it vibrates and is in two places at once.

Wondering how different parts of the world managed to split off with F or C for temp, imperial vs. metric for measurement.

I suppose that makes more sense than someone deciding it and everyone just following along with that.

Haha....  Morbid energy solution at least in the US.

We need energy, more efficient cars, etc., right?

How much energy does body fat contain?  (And that's recent energy too, straight from food, not buried in the ground for millions of years.)

It probably wouldn't make people actually healthy, but it could be put some of that fat to work.  Kind of like the Matrix except people would be very aware of it.

Actually, there were a variety of systems, and there was international agreement to standardise on metric back in the 1960s, with implementation due in the 70s. Even the US agreed. They, however, as is sometimes their want, never managed to get around to it.

The rest of the world did, though.  There aren't really "different parts of the word" operating different systems, there's the world and the US.

None of their "followers", but the Brits still think it's part of a EU conspiracy, so although they've officially converted, in practice a lot of old usage, and even labeling, remains.

I'm wondering... What if j_menz were a fake account I made... but in the future?  Sometimes he's posting what I would have posted.  And I'd be fooling even myself now.  Plausible denial.  Quite devious.  *Bob ponders why he would bother using some sort of time travel method to post in an online forum from 2014.*

Whoa... Mind blown.  I just bought some music... based off j_menz (and others) comments on here.  But if that's me from the future, then I just bought those edition j_menz was talking about in a post from a while ago.   :o  It's a circle in time.

The answer of course is that I always bought these books.  j_menz just happened to contribute comments.  Otherwise he wouldn't have had the books in the first place.

Unless... I acquire the books some other way in my future and that's what j_menz has.  However, now I've purchased the books.  I didn't do that in the original time line, so j_menz's comments must have influenced me to purchase.  But he'll have the copies I purchased now.  That could screw up the time line for when I/he comes across the original copies he had.  Which means in this case, I/he end up with two copies of the edition.

*Bob considers scarring himself and then checking if j_menz has posted in the past about scars...*   ::)  Now that I've thought of it though *and* posted this idea... I/he would be smart enough *not* to post anything about scars.  So that might prove it, whether I scarred myself or not now.

Hmm...  I hm, so that's consistent.  I'd be lazy with ellipses.   I might use methinks too. But I would definitely capitalize the t.  Unless I was in a extreme hurry.  Or really lazy.  Or really tired.

So maybe j_menz is some sort of therapy from myself in the future.  Perhaps I had a mental breakdown at some point in my not-to-distant future.  Methinks.

Although if that's in the future, they took forever to ship.  Unless j_menz is my future self about a week out.  Seems like a lot of effort to only go back a week or so though.

If j_menz is my future self, then I could just ask him for the answers to my current questions, assuming I had figured out the answers by that/his time.

Except if he gives me the answers, that would mess up the timeline.... I wouldn't have to think up the answer on my own....  I was thinking he wouldn't have the answers then in the future to give me, and that would be the grandfather paradox. Except if he gave me answers now, I'd have those answers in the future too and just give them back to myself only to have them again.  Like a perpetual idea existing that way.
