"You know that simple piece of music we're paying to perform tomorrow?  The one you agreed to play for us that you spent a little time preparing?  Yeah, we'd like you make that a fancy jazz arrangement for the performance.  That would sound better than the simple version we gave you."

Guess I'm going to get paid to add some arpeggios or something in.  I'm not much of an improviser.... and I'm too busy/out of time to do much with reharmonizing it....

Still laughing at myself....
I'm walking out of a restroom.  A foreign girl starts walking in.
I laugh and say, "Uh... This is the men's restroom."  Obviously she missed the sign on the door or didn't understand it.
...And then I realized she was actually a guy.

Think about it. If you're American when you enter the bathroom, what are you when you're in the bathroom?

You're-a-pee'n.

I wonder why we haven't heard about marijuana driving or crimes being committed while on marijuana.   You'd think opponents would bring that up, so... It must not happen or no one cares.

Wondering how we'd notice if we lost our mind.... esp. if it was just a piece of it or 10% but spread out over a long time.  How would really know if there was less "you?"

been super geeked since SE announced they are taking the franchise further. given my obsession w/ the music from the original, i'm excited to see Okabe will come back on as composer, the teaser trailer from E3 had a nice preview of a new piano ver of song of the ancients.
and the new concept art that just leaked keeps looking cooler and cooler

This dear little child working hard on his piano practice, getting stressed.
I think the parents are understanding, but at the same time  it seems harsh on the little guy.

Effect of pushing exercising or how to wake up earlier.

Exercise and push it.  Fizzle out.  Go to bed waaay early (the get-back-from-work-just-go-to-bed approach).  Wake up a lot earlier than normal.

Repeat many times.  Voila, waking up earlier... and messing up my sleep cycle.

It seems like terrorist activities tend to backfire.  I was thinking the same thing with the Boston pressure cooker bombing.  There's an event like that, and it ends up uniting people more.  9/11, same thing.  Would the point be to break up ties between people?  They'd be better off seeding some kind of unreset among the people.

And then for France, they've got French people going against Muslims there now (at least it's not just the US for that type of stuff), and the French stepped up to be the first to defend in Syria or whatever that was.
