It's in my opinion the best and most authentic performance of Tatum's "Tiger Rag" arrangement as far as YouTube videos go.

I don't think I've really listened to Crumb that much.  This doesn't sound as harsh as I expected.

Two examples of magical emotional depth - the key to mastering the piano is pianissimo!  For me, this is Horowitz at his magical best and or Maria Pirez, what she does with the opening of the Schubert Cminor Impormptu beginning is unlike anything anyone has ever done with it - in fact, no one seems to know how to make it work - she finds the magic gloriously.  Talk about the Depths of Despair.  No one can compare with Pirez in this regard.

I've found this piece almost impossible to memorize because of the slight changes in the patterns - they are basically arbitrary, improvisational in nature.  It is much harder than Prokofiev's Precipitato which I memorized fairly easily (but never quickly).  (In fact, I pushed it far down on my list of To Do's due to this issue.  Hopefully some day...)

I like this one the best by far:

Khatia does this also, but at break neck speed.  Maybe if she could soften up the accompaniment a lot...
