Air purifiers, tv that I'm not watching, air flowing somewhere, through a furnace I think, some kind of deep machine sound that's probably vibrations from something.... Lots of white noise I guess.

This IMO is one of the overlooked standard pieces of rep. One that everyone seems to know of but rarely listen to.

The Confutatis and Lacrimosa are definitely my favorite sections/movements.

lots and lots and lots of Voříšek

[Snipped out those YouTube links]
Vorisek is great

I've been listening to a lot of complete concert videos on YouTube. Especially Gilels. Oh and Cziffra's recordings of some "bigger" works like Chopin op. 61 :O

It is an anthem of a proud people dipped with so much history.
Even though I am Malay and Spanish in ancestry, I cannot
help feel the pride and emotion of this anthem.

Bach's French Suite No. 4 is playing, a turkey on a bun for the palate, the room is toasty, and Kapustin was pulling intensely not many minutes ago.

Listening to Vaughan Williams' 5th symphony, 1st movement.  Such talent he had.  If you've never listened to his music, start here and then turn to the Fantasy on a Theme of Thomas Tallis.

Oh man.... This is pre-Internet classical world cruelty I think.

I remember the pianist who thought she was good and rented performance spaces.  No one knew if she was aware she didn't sound good.

Found some more info.  Geez....
