It's unclear what type of bird Woodstock is....  But dogs don't live to be 84.  Birds don't live 60 years either.  And kids don't stay kids into their 60's.  Most likely explanation?  The original Snoopy and Woodstock died long ago and have been replaced many times since then.  Or some form of genetic experimentation might be going on... Successful in this case, except it's stunted the growth of the kids.  Apparently affected their hearing too, somehow based on age.  Adults sound more like a muted trombone in Peatnuts-land.
