Oh and another random thing, but it's on my mind right now....
Today is St Patrick's day...!
I just realized... I have to get my parents to take us to the parade they must be having downtown  ;D It's a good thing I randomly decided to wear green this morning!
Happy St. Patrick's Day to anyone who is Irish... or Irish at heart... and everyone else too :)

Factoid: did you know that Saint Pat's day's original colr was blue, not green?

oh, and thinkgreen:

I already said I really wanted it :D

And also also, I said that emill was THE ONLY ONE I found to be insincere, no one else. So it's not like all praises comes off as insincere.

Like, I also thought becky and Lady_Pianist were real and sincere... but turns out they weren't. On the other hand, it seems like emill was.

So what does this mean?

Don't mind me, I'm just crazy :p

It's only text.  It's hard to tell what's what.

It's probably inappropriate to play this for someone going into a nursing home.   ::)  Although some of the lyrics in the first part might have a double meaning in that case.  ::)

Pretty good eh, for a guy composing songs "in his room" in Hawthorne, living with his parents. I saw them playing on a barge on the channel in Newport.

I still can't believe the Japanese consider it part of the nuclear workers' jobs to stay and work to fix things even it means they die.  It's not heroic.  It's just part of their job.

Interview question:  In the event of a nuclear meltdown, would you be willing to continue working despite the lethal radiation?  Keep in mind, there *is* a right answer to this question.

shouldn't affect the pitch though, since It was increased by a integer mutliple?

I forgot, was pitch based on multiples or powers?

It might be my imagination but it sounded like a low c-#.  But it was sped up like 14 times so who knows what sound it was.   Mamma mia - terrible.

It says 16 times... and it sounds really scary!!!  :o Why do low sounds always sound kinda scary? I mean even on the piano. But on the piano it sounds cool scary.

An octave up is twice the frequency.  A440 = A4.  A880 = A5.

*Bob puts forth his "Inception poster" theory, complete with Sherlock Holmes hat and pipe, even though he doesn't smoke the pipe.*

It's possible the three fake posters were not three separate people, but one, and that individual may have been unaware that they were a fake poster.  At the time they may have completely believed they were who they said they were and were actually doing what they thought they were doing.

The first poster was possibly Roger. The member Roger at some point decided to create a false member, a sock puppet.  Maybe someone slighted him.  Maybe he wanted someone, anyone, to agree with his posts.  Maybe he was just seeking attention.  So Roger creates the LadyPianist member.  LadyPianist soon becomes bored with herself and creates Becky for whatever reason.

This could explain how these members actually had conversations with themselves.... while they were at still the same person.

Indeed, there may be members "above" this Roger poster.  It maybe be the original member, possibly a regular member, began by creating a false name of Roger.  They could be any of us.

*Bob looks around suspiciously.*

Or perhaps it didn't stop at Becky.   Perhaps... Perhaps Becky created her own fake member or even a group of members.  If Becky, LadyPianist, and Roger are now removed from the equation, there may be "stranded" members at those deeper levels.  Posters... forever in limbo... Maybe without being aware that they're a fake member or that they've been cut off from the rest of the chain.

That's getting pretty deep.

What's really bizarre is that you may be the higher level member who's...  *Bob tries to think of a better word than "lower member"*... You may be the higher level member who's "under-posters" are actually these fake posters without even being aware of it.  Answer this... Where were you on the internet just before you came here?  Come on.  Quick.  Don't remember?  Or do you have to think about it?  Remember it?  Remember the memory of it?  Like maybe a memory that was planted there?  *Bob pulls out a little metal top and spins it.*

*Bob waits for the top to stop spinning.*  Oh my God...

I'm playing a recital... tomorrow....  And I own three grand pianos.  All Steinways....  In different rooms so I can practice where I "feel like" without having to move very far...

*Bob becomes aware he controls his membership profile and can change things at will.*  Oh my God... :o  *Bob tips over backward in his chair.*

Cool!  8)  :)  :)

Well yesterday my piano techer said I learned Sonatina (that I'll be playing for my grade 3 exam) too fast!  :o I mean she said she expected that it would take more time for me to learn it...  :) and then she said that it's even better cause I'll have more time to practice it now.  :P And I think so too! But I kinda wish I would know all the pieces that I'll be playing for my exam already!! I only know this Sonatina, and I know Flower song (I know it's a piece but the title is Flower song! :) well I only just started learning this one hands separately, and it's pretty difficult!) and then I only know that I'll also have to play one Etude, and I'll probably be playing one piece that Mozart wrote when he was 6! And then I'll also be playing one piece by a Slovenian composer. I wish I knew all of them already!!!  :P

Some people are really shameless, aren't they. Even though clearly they're in the wrong, they choose to pretend as if they're not. Some are even shameless enough to assert that they are right.

Happens in the real world and online. Really sad. I do, however, wish these people the best of luck in life, and will be able to find true friends who are willing to support them despite their unreasonableness.

@ Stevebob:

That's a great quote. And to be honest, once on another forum, I was also very sure of myself for a long time, arguing against this other guy. Finally, after pages and pages, I realized I was wrong. Boy was I embarassed.

There's definitely a big possibility that I've been wrong this whole time. So please, I give you another chance to argue against my points in the threads in which we've argued in, and please, no more ad hominem and red herrings, let's have a mature discussion withno attacks to the person.

Just felt like dumping my thoughts somewhere... almost like a blog post on the non-existent blog I was too lazy to get

Good:
Never, ever, ever will have to do a French oral presentation... ever again! At least not in high school.  ;D

Bad:
I probably failed my exam... oh well!

Sad:
I'm supposed to have 2 piano performances/ recitals... one in May, and one in June. And for once I'm excited about them  8) But now my mom wants me to cancel them... and it's not even because she's afraid I'll hurt people's ears! She doesn't think I have time with school and all. And she's upset and mad at me that I don't wanna cancel. ::) :-\ :'(

Random:
I will study math for 3 hours a day. I will study for math for 3 hours a day.
Eggs with their shells dissolved feel like water balloons!!
I need to get my skates sharpened. (:

About daylight savings: I wish we didn't have it either. Don't you love it when your dog/cat/ whatever pet you have wakes up an hour earlier, or later? No one thought of the animals :(

time to LEARN (read: learn, not study, meaning because I didn't attend lectures or do the psets, I don't know anything at all)

Chapters 2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and 11 on limits (delta epsilon), derivatives, and integration.

2 weeks until exam!

And the same for eco, except I got to read 25 chapters for eco.

Even though what I'm learning  is obviously waaay easier than what you're learning. But I studied it for 3 days straight before my last exam, and I still got the integral questions WRONG.

Nooo ... Only basic integration. No integration by parts, or anything... thankfully!

Do they teach integration in grade 12 in BC?? In Ontario they don't teach it at all... so the BC kids are still way ahead! Like I said somewhere before, my course isn't really following the Ontario curriculum but it's a grade 12 credit (I took a lot of math courses in the beginning of high school to get it over with  ;) ). So I'm going to pay for that,  because math is my worst subject right now!

But to answer your question, no way, I've never been to a private school in my life!

Now this is not only not bad, it's really impressive:

Ah :(
Is economics interesting though?

I've seen that kid in the news.

That's interesting.  He says he can't read music.  Sounds like a normal kid.

Weird.  Says he hasn't played that in more than a year.  He just plays the melody but must have a ear or memory for it if he does that without any practice.

Haha.... "This is Pachebel's Canon... and that's either by Mozart or Beethoven, not really sure..."  ::) ;D

Technique that makes me cringe.  I've never seen anyone play like that.  He needs a teacher.

Looks like he's got it for math but not really music.  Weird wiring of the brain.

*Still cracking up over the mystery composer of Pachebel's Canon.*  It's a mystery.  An enigma.  We may never know.   We could try looking it up in New Groves. ::)

I wonder how many people that would trip up.
What's that?
Pachelbel's Canon.
Oh really?  Who wrote that?
Umm.....
 ;D ::)
[Or is that a trick question?.... Who wrote it?  No one.  It doesn't have any words. :P]

Oh I never knew he had videos of him playing piano! That's cool! If he had a teacher though, and if he spent time practising... he could be a math and piano whiz!!

I wonder, if I were that good at math, would I choose it over piano? :o

I can't imagine math being more fun than piano. Although after 31 pages and 5 hours of math homework, I'm actually starting to enjoy it! :D

More importantly, it has no numbers...

Wow :) I don't have a number where it says how many posts I have but it says "leet" instead of a  number!  :P But probably that will change now when I post this right?
