No, it's the fact that it's Not Rated.
It wasn't rated because it had no distributor. It was made by John Waters and his friends in Balmore on a 16mm camera. Any place it was shown, it was using the one print Waters had at places he rented out.
I mean, I understand gasplamey's concern. IIRC films usually get a "Not Rated" rating when the publisher doesn't like the rating given and doesn't want to change anything about the film, so they just leave it unrated. This most commonly happens with films that would get an R or an NC-17. I stay the f*** away from any film rated R or higher for anything other than language. (And even then, the only R movies that I've actually liked were comedies rated that way for language.)
