I'd never mix up these two, lol  ;D They are all but similar. And I like littletune. Well lucy is funny, sorta. Anyway I think lucy is a fake account. She's too much teenie to be real. But perhaps I'm wrong.

Thank you Wolfi! :) :)

True.  Littletune is more mature than Lucylucy.

I'm wondering if anyone will make a podcast audio mp3 file and post it in the audition room area.  Or a youtube video, same idea.  That would take some preparation though.

Well yes I think I have been very mature since before I was even born  ;D I remember thinking about life and everything before I was born  ;D or maybe I just imagined that  :-\ But I really think I remember... but I do have very very huge imagination  :-\  :)  :P

You have memories of being in the womb?

I remember someone posted on the forum, "I was very young when I was born."  I liked that one.

The tar balls in the Florida Keys aren't from the oil leak.  They're from near passing tanker ships.  And it's a normal amount of tar balls too.

::) So that makes it ok.  I'm fine with swimming around with existing tar balls.  I could make a tar ball castle on the beach.  But new tar balls?  Heck no.   That's wrong and I'm opposed to that.

(Bob thinks little kids probably pee in the ocean anyway and that's reason enough to avoid it.  That and random great white sharks that may appear even in tropical waters.)

Just got back from watching a surfing competition for DOGS! It is amazing how they keep their balance both coasting in and going out into the surf. Of course the board is lined up by their trainers. After that they're on their own.

-Long weekend because of Victoria Day!  Couldn't be happier.

-Just got through the 16th variation (halfway!!!) of the Beethoven C minor Variations (I'm really happy, because compared to my other summer stuff, this piece is beastly!)

-I need to clean my room... any music you guys suggest I play in the background?  It's gonna take a few hours lol!
Interested in discussing:

-Prokofiev Toccata
-Scriabin Sonata 2

How about the Sorabji Organ Symphony.

You will be so desperate to switch the music off, your room will be cleaned in record time.

Which of the three are you referring to? Presumably not the one to which you have stated that you are planning to travel to Amsterdam to hear four weeks today...

Anyway, you'd need a pretty large room to clean if - oh, never mind...

I am thinking about why I am being so clumsy lately and making stupid mistakes  :-\ On thursday I had to go to my music theory by bus and I can go on two different busses, but then when I was waiting the third one came (and that one usually doesn't go there but now it does cause the road is closed where it usually goes) and I just went on that one  ::) and then we went round and round and round .... and I felt like crying and I've missed about 10 minutes of my music theory!
And yesterday at music theory we were writing dictation again and in the middle of it the teacher just quickly looked at what we were writing and she said she was going to play it again and we should listen carefully because we all had some mistakes in the second bar. So she played and I changed just one note and then just before we had to give our dictations to the teacher I started thinking that probably I had all of the second bar wrong not just one note, so I just started changing everything, and that was wrong!!! And the teacher said that before I started changing everything it was exacltly right! I was really angry!  >:(
And yesterday before I went to bed I was giving my cat some treats and one fell on the floor and I wanted to pick it up.... but the shelf was standing too close (or I was standing too close  ::) ) and I hit my head on it!! It hurt really a lot and I felt like my face is being pulled together or something like that like if you eat a lemon :) and my head was bleeding a little too! And I had to cry because I felt a little like crying even before, cause I was really tired!  ::)

Hi, I am wondering why we have to work so much? I am not a lazy person, but I spend most of my day at work and I don't have enough time and energy for my hobby, the piano, or anything else (reading, listening music, listening to myself... etc.) Sad, isn't it?
And I am also thinking that time seems to runs faster and faster, and I don't know where the days, weeks and months fly...don't you have the same feeling?
And it is sad that I am glad that the weeks working days passed and weekend arrives, because those working days are still MY days of MY life...
Well, this was just a thought, it comes to my mind from time to time, but I try not to think about this too often, it is useless.
I wish you all to have as much time for yourselves as you want!  :)

I noticed the effect of improving at something simply from buying materials about how to improve at that something, but improving without ever having read those books.

I've thought about the work thing too.  It seems like we're all slaves.  Some kind of forced, but apparently voluntary slave.  Unless you're rich of course.  But otherwise, you *have* to work.  And that does put a dent in the day.

I have a recital on tuseday! I will be playing 4 pieces (my 2nd grade exam pieces). I'm trying not to be afraid :) But the stupid thing is that I am afraid of being afraid!!!  ::) Because I know I can play these pieces okay. It's just that if I get too nervous and my hands start shaking then I don't play so very well anymore and I start making stupid mistakes!  >:(  ::) well we'll see...
And the next two weeks are kinda scary! Because I have so many things and exams and everything!! I rather don't think too much about it. I guess it's not such a big deal... even if it won't be ok then I can just try next year again. It's not like my life will be over! But I have to practice and learn a lot now!!

But otherwise, you *have* to work.

Then you need to come to England where millions of people choose not to work and get paid more money for sitting on their arses doing nothing than if they actually had a job.

i'm so bored.......................................................................................

So what's that like? I mean being bored  :-\ . Cause I really don't know, cause I'm never bored! :) well I do sometimes think some things (or people) are boring, but I am never bored. Even if someone or something is boring I just start thinking about something else or I imagine some things. And when I'm alone I am never ever bored!! I just have soooo many things on my mind and I want to do so many things and think about sooo many things I never have enough time! So there's just no way I could ever be bored! So I never really understand what exactly people mean when they say they're bored. (but I guess that's just cause I'm kinda weird and I don't understand a lot of things people do).  :P

Indeed Littletune, you are the light of truth.

When I was your age (just after WWII) I was never bored. After some 60 years I can truthfully say that I have never been bored. My mind works the same as yours and I do the same mental things during boring presentations (while the pps slides change on the screen in a darkened room and the presenter drowns on and on in a monotone voice..)  as you do.

You are right, WWII is World War 2. Now that I recheck my numbers, I was 7 on D-day, June 6th, 1944 so I was 8 in 1945 on VE day May 8th.

I don't think I am the oldest one on the this board. Don't worry, the one thing that won't change is your mind, unless you get some mental disease. Otherwise, you will still think in the same patterns you do now.

But tell me, has this Steinway 3 Pedals? because if it has three and you accidentally hit the middle one instead of the right one it might sound very strange, of course.

Yes it has 3 pedals. Why? What does the middle pedal do? I mean my piano has 3 pedals too, the middle one just makes it not so loud :)

The middle pedal on a Steinway keeps selected Notes. It's supposed to be handled with your left foot.  The respective keys need first to be pressed fully down and then kept with the middle Pedal. While you keep those selected notes with the middle pedal you can play normally, using the right pedal. So you can for instance keep long bass notes or pedal points and play connected chord progressions in the treble without blurrying them.

While you keep those selected notes with the middle pedal you can play normally, using the right pedal. So you can for instance keep long bass notes or pedal points and play connected chord progressions in the treble without blurrying them.

That sounds cool :)  8) but complicated too :) thanks for explaining!

I'm kind of shocked and surprised back into reality about the U.S.  "Greatest country on Earth" etc. etc. etc.  And the cliche of putting a man on the moon.

... But we can't plug an oil leak?

It makes me wonder if it's the result of being too wimpy about things.  Or if someone wants that situation to occur for whatever reason.

It doesn't sound like a 'greatest generation' type of thing.  I would thought someone would have stepped forward and wrapped it up by now.

Makes me doubt.  Or it's something with the splintering of the nation or the world.

We don't seem to be doing a good job with large-scale disasters.  I had kind of thought people would rise up if there were some impending event like a meteor heading for the planet, but I'm doubting that now.  It's not prevention.  It's absorbing and recovering/rebuilding after the fact.

I'm wonder why they couldn't park a submarine over the leak or really make an effort to cap that thing, even if it meant forcing businesses to produce materials temporarily to do that.

I'm thinking about how much I LOVE piano and music!!!!! I can't even explain it!!!!!! I love piano and music like from one end of the universe to the other!  :) And that's the most you can love something or someone because the universe is expanding so that means you love someone or something every day more or even every second more!!!  :P
