I can't believe how this whole forum has been changing since the end of January this year!
There is an influx of new members and it's interesting to see how the used to be active
members just come and go.  I've been inactive but still visit the forum on occasion.
I don't see the usual former members though, like morningstar, tds, shorty-short, peter, pianowolfi and some others that I know of  but can't think of at the moment.  I suppose the online stuff is similar to real life....things come and go, things always have to change.  It sad in a way because how this forum used to be was more fun and the members knew each other better.  Oh, well, times a changing and we have to change along with them, I suppose....*sigh*

best wishes,

Was just very mean to someone I was talking to on Facebook  :( I feel especially bad because they did nothing to deserve it  :-\ it was just random, unprovoked brutality. I can't apoligize though or I will look like a wimp  :-[

I hear you, Go.  For me, I noticed a shift that seemed to reach fruition in January 2008.  When I joined the forum in the summer of '07, it was a very different place.  But Wolfi is still here. :)

I'm wondering what the Lockerbie bomber is thinking now as he is being released... onto an airplane.  He bombed an airplane in the past.  Now they release him and say, "Yes, you're free!  ...Just step onto this nice, safe airplane and you'll be free!  Everything's ok.  It's perfectly safe.  Step right this way!"  Wouldn't that be ironic?

I am well aware that what I am about to write represents a controversial issue with views that divide themselves largely into two with an ocean called Atlantic as separator, but your sentence "he bombed an airplane in the past" has to be considered in the context that there are many who believe - and some who have long believed - that this person's conviction was unsound and his guilt questionable; these include a significant number of bereaved people. So - maybe he's thinking "as someone who has served a part of a sentence for bombing an airplane without ever having done so, I wonder what it might feel like to be someone who bombs an airplane and gets away with it". I do not suppose, however, that anyone needs to concern him/herself with what he's thinking any more than he is likely to annouce publicly what he's thinking. What is perhaps a pity is that, in order for his release to happen, he has been obliged to accept advice to abandon his appeal; one reason why I say that this is a pity is that those bereaved people who either believe that he didn't do it or have doubts as to whether he did it will no longer be afforded the possibility of closure.

Best,

Right now I'm hoping it was safe to eat.  I made a salad.  A nice one with extras.  Then I went to wash my hands and hit the handsoap container.  The soap container spewed soap straight into my nice, glorified salad.  Except I couldn't tell for certain where the soap went exactly.  Which was a problem.  But I was also starving.  I looked for the darn soap but didn't see any signs of it.... until I tasted it, but I'm sure that was it.  I hope.

My effing knee hurts, I smashed it against the corner of a desk.

I should be in bed, especially after driving until nearly 4 in the morning.  I'm mostly thinking of the spooky dream I had last night where there was a basement the size of an airport (with the low ceilings of a basement, and brown carpet) several floors below my own basement (so like 3 or 4 stories into the ground) where this creepy cult of people with screwed up faces were praying at some altar.  I don't want to explain the rest, but that's pretty much what's on my mind... I'm going to have to face part two of that dream whenever I decide to go to sleep  ;)
