Appears true, at least after googling for a minute.

And now her name will be forever attached with the event online.  Is that worth the amount of money a lawsuit costs?

Your name online + farting situation - your job/career = 2.5 million dollars?

Stolen violin.

You don't hear about this happening with pianos so much.  ::)  Thieves are obviously biased towards strings.

You don't hear it much about double basses either. Maybe thieves are just lazy.

On my mind now is going home from work, having something to eat, doing a bit of piano and doing a bit more on my music blog.  Its not a real blog as such because I am not linking it to the internet and nobody can reply to it.   It is simply a collection of musical thoughts that I typed up and put on Microsoft Word..  :D

I have a sensor stuck on my chest that is supposed to measure my stress levels for 3 days...unfortunately no piano lessons on this period, but maybe it will show what practicing does to me  ;D

Shouldn't Batman be over in the Middle East or North Korea?  Defending freedom, justice, etc.  Isn't that where it's a situation where he's "what the city needs?"  We've got police departments here, etc.  People are watching out for things.

Kind of lazy on Bruce Wayne's part to only stick around and patrol the city he's living in.  Apparently someone doesn't like a long commute.

Given America's recent "successes" at cleaning up messes abroad, I think he shows good sense sticking to the messes at home.

I can't believe I'm sick again! 2 Weeks ago I had a pretty bad cold, then I was ok for about a week and now I'm sick again! It's a good thing I don't mind being sick as much as other people usually do.  :P
It's just a difficult time! I'm really starting to believe the world is really changing a lot or something...  :-\ I don't know but there's just sooooooooooo many things happening... mostly bad ones for me, a few good ones too I guess, but I'm still waiting for better times  :P
Now I can't practice piano at home at all! Our neighbour (who is a retired policeman) went crazy and threatened us, if I kept playing piano. Even though I was only playing about every other day for half to one hour, with the middle (quiet) pedal! So now we have to find out what we can do... But the thing is even if the police and everyone says I have the right to play, I just can't enjoy playing  anymore:( cause I just can't enjoy doing something if I know I'm bothering someone so much... and if I don't enjoy practicing piano then there's no point in practicing. So now I have been going to my music school to practice but it takes me sooo much time (about an hour there and an hour back!).
Well we'll see what happens... I'm waiting to win the Euro Jackpot!  :P  :P

Welcome back to the forum!

I wish there was a solution to your problem. People who stay home all day long are a problem for all of us. My piano is electronic so no one is disturbed. When my crew starts up the construction equipment at 7AM we get our share of complaints even though it is legal.

Again, welcome back. We were worried...

I'm in a party, it's a bit boring so I'm just surfing...and I miss my piano, didn't have any quality time with it this morning either...

Oh, and someone accidently poured red wine right down inside my blouse...so I now smell the delicious smell all the time unable to taste any myself  :'(

Hi Oxy! :) Thank you very much! Yes we're thinking about getting a digital piano (stage piano)... my teacher says it's not the same as real piano but better than just a keyboard (with only 5 octaves - which is what I have now)... we just have to find one that's not too expensive (probably used one), cause we don't have so much money.
Thanks again Oxy! I didn't think so many people were worried about me!! (if I did I would probably come back sooner)! :)  8)

He threatened to do what? I'm sorry you feel worried about playing at home. :(

Well he didn't exactly say what... something like: that he would take different steps or take different action if I didn't stop making noise on the piano (I'm not exactly sure what would be the best way to translate it into English). Probably he doesn't even really know what he would do... but he is a retired policeman so I'm not sure how much that helps him get what he wants.  :-\ I mean he is not a very nice person, his wife was very scared of him and when all the kids grew up she ran away from home, my dad met her once and she said she didn't want anyone to know where she lived. So ... you don't really know what to expect from a person like that...  :-\

So I was at work today right?

I did the NASTIEST job!!!

I had to clean the food utensils, but the drain wasn't working, so I had to do it in LIQUID FOOD!!!.

OH MY GOD it was disgusting!!!

Like, I kept washing and sanitizing my hands, but they still smell bad!!!  It's like in my blood stream!!!

I feel like I'm either gonna get super powers or I'm gonna contract a new form of HIV or something that's transmitible by just looking at people.

The people who make school lunches.  The liquid meat that gets bleached or whatever they do to it before they put it in hot dog form.  Except with that stuff you also know someone's going to actually eat it in the future.

An idea I don't want to forget....

https://www.pianostreet.com/smf/index.php?topic=54351.msg586983#msg586983
Re: can you learn perfect pitch?

I had an idea....

Perfect pitch is the color.  Relative pitch listening overpowers that at some point for whatever reason for most people.  (taking a guess there)

But you could shift.  If you stopped using relative pitch, what's left?  Probably some undeveloped... other form of listening, which could include pitch color.  You probably wouldn't know what's happening or it would feel very unfamiliar. You might not even notice your brain registering things that way.

But how do you turn off relative pitch?

Easy way -- Listen/feel the expression/emotion in the music.  At least for me.  What does it remind me of?  How does it make me feel?  I don't know what the notes are.  I don't know what key is, etc.  But those are kind of notes that pop out later randomly, for me at least.  I know that one note I just heard is the same as x-note in y-piece.

Engrained further by repeated listenings.

Emotions turn off the relative pitch listening. Add depth.  I notice my brain can focus in a little more deeply on notes.  Strange effect. It's like something else is switched off.

Darnit!...

Music that has tone in it that sound like alarm clocks, car horns, warning alerts... I don't know how many times I start looking around for the alarm clock that just started going off and stopped.  Worse if I'm in the car listening to music that does that or has something that sounds like a car horn.

Interesting...  I wonder if that's the glimpses of perfect pitch I was thinking about earlier.  I know x-piece of music has a beep that's the same beep as my watch.

I keep thinking that I should stop trying to make piano music. But if I don't put this sonata in my head to sheet, I'm going to go more insane than I already am.
Per novitatem, artium est renascatur.

Finished with making music for quite a long time.

Ellen Degeneres or however you spell it came to my school yesterday.  Biggest waste of time.

Buy on a different note,

I remember my mom keying someone's car because that person stole her parking spot.  Lol she's savage.

Poems of Ecstasy – Scriabin’s Complete Piano Works Now on Piano Street

The great early 20th-century composer Alexander Scriabin left us 74 published opuses, and several unpublished manuscripts, mainly from his teenage years – when he would never go to bed without first putting a copy of Chopin’s music under his pillow. All of these scores (220 pieces in total) can now be found on Piano Street’s Scriabin page. Read more
