Really?!

What happened in the dream?!

Was Scirabin and Valentina Lisitsa in it too?!

Or was it just me?

Either way the world will experience the same outcome.

Nothing very dramatic: I was wandering around backstage of a big symphony hall and there you were, waiting to play some concerto. I introduced myself and you were very pleasant and polite. There was a pretty young woman with you but not VL--one of those people you see in dreams and think you know but can't remember when you wake up.

Maybe the dream was a prophecy that you will play with a big symphony?!  :o

What's disturbed me is that I must be spending way too much time on Piano Street if I'm dreaming about it.

best, --s.

Well I'm learning the Rach 2 right now.

And I think I can find two orchestras to play with!!!  But I have to enter their concerto competitions...  And the winner of last years concerto competitions for one of those orchestras was a freaking MONSTER!!!  Like dude what the heck, I've never seen anything like it!  Like she literally had horns and everything!  She could even breathe fire!!!

Well not RIGHT NOW, I'm taking a break from it until August, I have some other stuff to take care of.

I know, something else more important than Rachmaninoff, that's crazy. ::)

If something is infinite, and you put a label on it, "infinity," does that limit it?  Because then you can talk about as one thing (limited).

For example,
Infinity

Infinity + 1   <-- You've capture infinity here.  It's limited.  And then you added more to it.

What the heck I still don't know who the heck my roommate is!!!

If they're taking so long to tell me who my roommate is, then he better be straight out of heaven or something!

Then his name will be Nemtin. And be writing stuff like this:

Hm.  2.5 hours to cook rice?

It's done.

*Bob thought this was minute rice.*  That's a lot of minutes.  Kind of deceiving.

Just got a Dezso Ranki LP of Chopin Preludes. He fair whips through them. Having to get up and turn it over already. Like the clear precise sound he gets though, particularly on the F # Minor. Not sure I like the E minor quite so fast though, but it's good to hear a different interpretation.
Currently learning:
Mendelssohn 19/6           Chopin 28/4
Satie Je Te Veux            Rach C#m
Poulenc Bal Fantome       Chopin 28/20
Schubert Serenade         Chopin 15/3
Chopin 10/9

I don't know what "stuff" daily receipts is. Bank them? Enter them into a database? It's not a term we use here.

Prepare correspondence for mailing sounds like basic envelope stuffing.

Matching gift forms are forms relating to employers who "match" charitable donations by their employees, so this is part of the paperwork for that.

All pretty basic stuff - general officework, as I believe I said previously.

Accompany.  Teach.  Perform.  Keep it musical.  Teach theory.  Someone wants to learn something from you.

Or just take out a loan and have more practice.

There's work-study.  They could find a job for you.

I really wouldn't work while you're in college.  (Or if you do, get a job where you really don't do anything.  Those exist at colleges.  Do what you want while you "work.")  You'll work the rest of your life.  College is the only time you'll have to dig in and focus.  With the price tag on it, it's doubtful you'll be able to pay for the whole thing anyway.  Possible, but not many do that.  And the ones I've seen doing that have gone through community college.  I don't remember anyone who left college with no debt who was in music actually...

I thought you had a scholarship.  Why are you looking for a job?  Your practicing literally paid off.  (Not to be nosey or rude...)

Or take a mindless job and listen to music or mentally practice while doing office work.

Alright, time to send in an application!

Remember, any time you are applying for a job Google is your best friend...Find out what the company is doing and if you can, pretend to know something about the tasks. And of course, make believe you are actually interested in what they do instead of just the money. Employeers like that :)

Work study is part of my financial aid.  A little over 1/4 of all my college money is from grants and a work study.

Everything else is from my music.  Which I honestly don't think I deserve by the way.  Considering there are 14 year old kids who have won more competitions than I've played pieces... :-[

And the money I make is going towards some more skate gear!

There's not many spots at where I'm at and I'm like the only skateboarder there, so I'm gonna by a flat cicle rail and a pole jam.  And my shoes start ripping after about a week so I gotta keep stocked up!

You never know why you were hired. There are factors beyond you that are part of it.  They may have already had someone picked and had to go through the motions (which really wastes your time).  You could have been overqualified and they didn't think you'd stick with it.  Or there could have been someone with better experience.

Wouldn't vampires have kind of messy hair and things stuck in their teeth?  They can't use mirrors.  A mirror wouldn't do them any good. Or they'd have to have another vampire do their grooming like that.

Hahah! Good one!

On my mind is the fact that I **finished Ballade no 4 by Chopin, recently. haHAA! Well, I can play most of it, the end is still settling in my memory, and I will need to repeat it at least 40 times before I will try to play through it without the sheet music.  ;D

To add to the vampire idea, they probably would be dressed badly.  Same idea.  Unless they have another vampire around to tell them...  There's probably a vampire in a baggy plaid suit out there, with food (blood?  scabs?) stuck between his teeth, and a big Alpalpha cowlick.  Since they've got the seductive charm, they couldn't even use humans to tell.  The women would swoon.  I don't know what men do with same gender vampires, assuming they're hetero vampires... Either swoon too or not swoon, but they would be some kind of competition so he probably couldn't take what they say seriously.  Only another vampire could tell him he looks like an idiot.

At least that was until technology came along.  A mirror is just reflecting light.  But what about a webcam?  Or even a painting.  Surely a painting would work fine.  If a computer is creating its own recreation of the view, it's more like a painting then a reflection of light.  So, would the vampire be able to see himself using a webcam and a computer screen?

Vampires are also destroyed by light, which is essential to creating a reflection...In the dark, the webcam wouldn't even see you to create a detailed enough picture for a vampire to see how disgusting their pores are...:P
