My gravity allowed me the luxury of making a dinner salad and then returning straight back to my place with full gravity, to power ahead.

why out of all the possible things that could happen, certain things undergo the formality of actually occurring?

You know, you're more likely to die on your way to buy your lottery ticket than actually winning the lottery?

Because we live in a random world. The only thing that affect the outcome is a handicap. And that would only affect the probability of the outcome.

Actually you will die sometime.

So, are you living yet, or just waiting to die?

I'm wondering just how wrong it would be to have all the cuts of meat tattooed onto the pig.  :-\ It'd look kinda cool, though.

Well, considering how most pigs live their life I guess it wouldn't be that bad... I guess it's the stupidity of people that bothers me more than the actual act. Coloured chickens? Sigh...

Well I know people from Pianostreet who are but i don't want to talk for them :) oh and I even know about a few who I think must be born before 1960...
(my mum and dad are both born before 1960  :P but they're not really on this forum, my mum just knows about it).

I noticed I'm not that much on Pianostreet anymore  :-\ before I was almost every day!! But that's probably because I have to babysit my baby bird  :P well maybe he's not such a baby anymore but he's like a little puppy with way too much energy!!! and he needs to be out (of his house, it's more like a little house not a cage) at least a few hours a day cause he's a wild bird. and so in that time when I would usually go on the internet before I now have to watch him. and i usually don't have my laptop cause it's too complicated (cause I don't have a table where I could put my laptop and I need to stop whatever I'm doing on my laptop every few minutes or even seconds and he always wants to help me and starts jumping on my laptop and biting the keys - he already somehow lifted up one key so it's sticking up, but it's still working ;D ), so i usually do other a little less complicated things  :P But I love him soooo much he's so smart and cute (and really nice and cuddly when he feels like it  :P ). I don't mind baby-bird sitting him  ;D I'm so glad we found him and rescued him!!!!!  :)  :)  8) and now I have to go cause he's trying to help me again. He needs really a lot of attention!!  :)  :P  :)  :-*  :D  :)

Hmm do you think there's anyone here born after 2000?  :P

I have to write about this....although maybe I should post it in "What happened to you today" thread but... well I'm still a little too disturbed about that thread......... :-X and I'm here and this is on my mind so I'll just post it here:

So... today when I went to check my email I see an emal from Youtube and it says:
 Dear littletune98,

Your video "my birds :)", may have content that is owned or licensed by DigDis, but it’s still available on YouTube! In some cases, ads may appear next to it.

??? It's a video of my two parrots!!! And what is DigDis?? I never heard about it till now!!!!
And ok I know that it's not bad cause they said the video is still available and everything... BUT... It's a video of my bird singing!!!!! in my room!!!! nothing else!!!! So I disputed it!!!!! I mean they should at least tell me how someone got an idea to claim copy rights for the video of my two birds in my room with no music or anything else added!!!!!!!  So I wrote this:

my birds :)
Reason for dispute
This video is my original content, and I own all of the rights to it.

Explanation
This is a video of my two parrots singing and talking and it is recorded in my room, there's no music added! It's just my two birds in my room. I don't want to get into any legal fights or something I'm just a kid and I don't mind the ads either, I just think it's a little ridiculous that someone is claiming copy rights for the video of my birds.... :/ I don't really get it. Thank you!

I have a good faith belief that the claim(s) described above have been made in error, and that I have the right(s) necessary to use the contents of my video for the reasons I have stated. I have not knowingly made any false statements, nor am I intentionally abusing this dispute process in order to interfere with the rights of others. I understand that filing fraudulent disputes may result in termination of my YouTube account.
Signature
Tina Jacqui R. (with full name, I just won't write my whole last name here)

So now what? I hope they won't want to take me to court or something....!  :-\
Cause all I really wanted was to tell them that there's no way they could have the copy right for this video. If they admit that, I don't even mind their ads or whatever.
Really confused...  :-\  ???
Oh I'll post the video... if someone can tell me where those people got the idea that they have a copy right for it!!!!  :o

Oh... I just got another email and it says:
 Dear littletune98,

DigDis has reviewed your dispute and released its copyright claim on your video, "my birds :)". For more information, please visit your Copyright Notice page

Yours sincerely,
- The YouTube Team

Does that mean that they do not claim copy rights anymore? I mean I'm not sure what" released its copy right" means...  :-\

DigGis is trying to shake down littletune for some copyright infringement money?  (Kidding)

Or maybe someone wants royalities on the whatever piece of music they think that bird is whistling.  (Also joking, but it's possible that a computer program found some fragment similar to another piece.)

I think groups go around claiming copyright infringement on lots of videos without any reason.  I just saw an article about that a week or so ago.  It's not uncommon.

Unless it's the John Cage Foundation....  There is a lot of use of silence in that video.

I wouldn't be surprised if a program picked up a similarity between the bird whistling and an actual piece of music.  That's probably the level that kind of software is at.

The five note rule still applies. You can't claim infringement until the fifth note that is the same. Under EU rules do the birds own their creative product?

I can see it now: The Bird Trust, Littletune, Trustee.

There doesn't seem to be as many of you as I thought. There are however a lot of school and college age people on here. At this moment most of the comments seem to be coming from our younger members.

So the first president you remember would be tricky-dick?

Yes, I know most of YOU are very young. But at least some of US are more mature...I wonder if there should be a separate division for OLD people  ;D

That is why we instituted term limits. You know that guy did look familiar but I couldn't place him. And I was thinking in terms of US presidents. I know so little about Finland. I was there once on the island of Turku for about two or three hours waiting for a return (Silja) ferry to Stockholm. The only thing I learned on that outing was that booze was cheaper on board as  was the reason for all the young people making the same day trip. That was a real eye opener into the youth culture of the frozen north...

First of all, Turku is not an island, just a city on the cost with lost of islands around it. I actually live in the neighbouring town :)

Things have changed you know. With EU booze is now reasonably prized on the mainland too. People still go on the boat to consume it though, I guess they think it's more fun...And the way Finns consume booze it may be better too, at least you won't freeze outside when you pass out...then again you might go overboard... ???

One learns something new everyday. Heavy drinking and the frozen north seem to go together. From my stays in Stockholm I have seen things that can not be posted here.

One story that's PG: Often I would hang out at a piano bar overlooking the harbor and buy drinks for those near me and get drinks back. After several days a member of the staff of the hotel asked me if I was with the government. It turns out that the gentleman who would ofter sit next to me was the minister of defense. I never asked and he never told.

You seem to know quite a lot more of us than the average American :)

My feet attract weights.  I leave a weight sitting on the floor.  Bam!  I jam my toe while walking past.  Repeat, repeat, repeat.  Wearing shoes does solve the problem.  I thought I'd be smart and move the weights off the floor.  Problem solved, right?  Nope.  I'm glad that was a four pound weight falling about a foot.  I don't think I broke anything.  If it was heavier or higher... The weights are staying on the floor.  And I'm wearing shoes all the time.
