Again... Wouldn't want to... not without a hazmat suit and a flamethrower... actually...

They are more than happy to kiss my flamethrower.

I bet your typewriter has been busy composing a lengthy manifesto.

Perhaps you could upload a copy here.

Have you heard of the music of Sxrxabjx?

He was a visionary who produced music that tended to the sublime and the irresponsible, at turns.

Highly recommended.

Who?  Never heard of him.

No, Fluxus never existed.  It was just a bad dream.

TYPEWRITER??? How old are you?

People haven't used type-writers in over 30 years, at least.

I don't even own one.

Sorabji is a great composer.

I think if you ask the specialised piano community - for the most part, this is entirely wrong.

And he is technically the man whose name we dare not speak. If you're going to refer to that person, call him by his preferred pseudonym here... Sxrxbjx. (the more 'x's the better.)

I bought mine brand new from the Olivetti shop in Paris in about the year 2000, so, yeah, probably right.  Granted, the gal had to dig around in the back for probably the only example they had and they were probably laughing at me after I left.

But if you want to write an anonymous manifesto, accept no substitute.

Who?

Oh yeah.

Scriabin.  He was an astonishing pianist and composer.

No, the letters don't match up.

I think it was somebody famous for building scale model locomotive train sets.  Saw him in a newspaper once, next to the daily Contract Bridge column.

Was wanted for murder or larceny or buggery or some such....can't remember.  Some kind of British wanker, anyway.

I should probably not mention that I studied electrical engineering for a short time at university, just for kicks....and that my soldering skills, while not "good," are adequate....enough.....to build....things.

So let's not be sending each other love letters, let's just say.   ;D

why would i need to show my intelligence in a place that dosent require it , the entire point of this thread is to have the last post , not to have conversations , it would be a waste of time to think of something intelligent to write in this thread .

It would also be a waste of time to not use that clump of brain cells between your ears, and at least say something civil or intelligent.

Give us a joke, say something nice, something controversial. Something other than what a seagull seems to say when it's hungry.

SILENCE!

I'm trying to "think" of something "intelligent" to say.

It's like baboons on the ranch here or something.

Since when does one need to think of something "intelligent" to say?  Is this a revision of general relativity that must be revealed to the community of scholars?

Just say it.  I have observed that intelligent comments often come about from intelligent people with little or no preparation.

Perhaps that may explain their intelligence.

Go eat some Fluxus (or learn to solder and use flux paste) and read more Perec, you bunch of illiterate Sxxxxxi people.

If i had to choose id probably choose past , but not too far back in past , id say 1980s or 1970s , and even this only if i can choose the location i could travel back to , this is considering that its a one time permanent trip , if its just a small vacation than i would probably go back to chopin's time to get a quick lesson from him on finger technique and how to lead with the fingers with intrinsic muscles in command followed by the support of your wrist and arm  ( id need a gold bar or 2 becuase of his prices ) or meet liszt , he gave free lessons to a lot of students about musicality , he refused to teach technique tho , maybe attend that time when liszt and thalberg were competing to watch liszt play revolutionary etude in octaves , i am aware that you could achieve a lot with this power but all i care about is music so a 2-3 hour lesson with chopin is something i would willingly pay for with 5-10 years of my life .

I'm shocked at this revelation.

Well, if you ever decide to drink, it's likely a mere blended scotch will be one of the first things you'll encounter.  Perhaps Johnnie Walker red or its overpriced cousin blue.
