It is, one has to determine first a) how does the banjo sound and b) how does the woman sound. And you'd have to count the amount of strings attached, of course!

I have to admit to experiencing gteat difficulty in understanding this modern Dutch dialect, but I thini that I can nevertheless graps sufficient of its sense not to need a translation into English...

Well, i do not buy cheap Korean Banjos, so i would base my calculation on a good Goldtone Plectrum Banjo at about £600 - £800.

I do not like Ozarks or Gibsons, albiet I would love a Piestch.

No matter what occurs in our lives, it is usually a human courtesy to just be polite in
chat room.  I mean, ppl are getting turned off in there because of the *atmosphere*
in there.  Some ppl are cheerful and can carry on a decent conversation, but lately I
am finding it not as enjoyable these past several weeks.........either ppl are so stressed out
about stuff and life is a chore, but hey, ppl have problems and I'm aware of that fact,
but in order to make other members feel welcome and okay in chat room, lets be friendly
and not spat at one another.  It has been a pet peeve of mine lately and no wonder
chat is empty most of the day.  Are we all in a grump mode or what?  I deal with problems too,
but I decided that in order to make things happen in this forum or elsewhere , it is not that hard to be pleasant and polite in chat room.  Gosh!

Just in the news here. Apparently the UK has 5 officially recognised Sharia courts (plus some 80 "illegal" ones). Seems that the "judge" from such a court has to check any ruling with the "official" courts, though.

Now, the Dutch government is hugely hypocrit and stupid, but even they must bow to the UK!
Allowing two juridical systems (mutually exclusive at that) to exists in a country? Recognising the Sharia? They must be miles out of their minds and accelerating!
According to the news the Archbishop of Canterbury is much in favor of those courts...

What's next? Setting up courts based on strict adherence to the Old Testamentic laws? US type ruling? Dutch system???

Well, the Archbishop of Canterbury is an out of touch tambourine banging twat.

I do not see how in a Country you can have two different types of Law systems in operation,  that could produce vastly different judgements when dealing with the same case. If ever there was a barrier to integration, this is it.

Our Muslim loving Labour government is to blame for this stupidity. However, since the Labour Party are supposedly all for equal rights for women, I do not see how they can allow this system to operate.

Anyway, since most of our laws appear to be made by unelected fraudsters in Brussels, there is probably nothing that they can do about it even if they had the will to do so.

I rather doubt that the Archcant of Bishopbury would know quite what to do with a tambourine if anyone were to present him with one, but I do agree that two sets of laws of the kind that you allude to are likely to be about as useful as the time-dishonoured "two sets of accounts"; that said (and I also appreciate your remarks about New Old Half-Baked Labour's purported support for women's rights sitting uncomfortably alongside promotion of the use of Sharia law in UK), I don't think that what you call "the unelected fraudsters in Brussels" are any more adept at breaking or otherwise deliberately misppropriating laws of their or anyone else's creation for their own ends than is anyone here in UK, elected or otherwise, inside or outside of what passes for local or national government and irrespective of who may or may not have made said laws in the first place.

To play the violin effectively, you need a good teacher to show the proper way to hold the violin and the bow.  It takes time and effort to learn to play violin.  Yet, a great instrument to play beautiful pieces.

It is physically impossible to play what Liszt wrote in the Hungarian rhapsody no.18 in C-sharp minor. He writes prestissimo during the octave section so you have to play them as fast as you can and than he writes accelerando so you have to get faster than you possibly can. Therefore everyone has faked it
