See, being an admirer of the human form, I never found it nescessary to click.I believe it's a kind-hearted variation on the custom of inviting one to have some tea.
I haven't seen it either, but again - one of those things I can live without.
I must confess, I'm not that familiar with the New Orleans scene (definitely have to look into it some more though) but The Meters have a slight Curtis Mayfield vibe who I absolutely love. If you haven't heard the Superfly soundtrack I highly recommend it. Here's a little taste;
This is a piece of music that really tugs at the heart strings...
I miss the late 1990's, early 2000's. That was the best generation of genuine musicians (once you take out all those bastard boy bands, and the dreg that the Spice Girls churned out)
I'd say good music became quite rare after the 70's.
Personally cannot stand that kind of pathetic whining...I'd say good music became quite rare after the 70's.
Nah - once you had arseholes in EMI records writing the songs for dingy fashion models (Bieber, Minaj, Spears) and let them mouth the lyrics while autotune and lip-synching became the norm - music went down the toilet.
The sixties through 70's was probably the best years for pop music, except for the Beatles dirge, I could never stand them!
What are your thoughts on Queen??? I must admit, even I am a fan of theirs. Freddie Mercury had a HELL of a voice.
America were fortunate to have Simon & Garfunkel, their music was pure gold.
*Bob feigns polite interest and like he's been paying attention the thread. In reality, he isn't going to spend the time to figure out what's going on.*
I cannot stand Queen...or his singing.
I would say though that the The Walker Brothers had great voices.
I'm not familiar with the guy. You must be ancient!
Well, Bob.You're a handsome fellow for a Canadian.
*Bob realizes Canadians must just be ugly though.... and Bob isn't Canadian..... Bob wonders what that meant, or if it was a back handed compliment..... * You're handsome... for a Canadian? What if you are or are not a Canadian...... *Bob's mind continues meadering....*

Looks like you have gone tits-up ! COVID19 UPDATE – The J-Tour is not available at this time and we do not anticipate it opening for the 2020 season.
That's the kind of sugar papa likes.
...not to mention masking tape and rope.
[I'm just checking J_Tour and I live in different countries...]PHEW... It's all good. Carry on.
KHAAAAAAAAAAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
These guys were part of Queen, right?
How the *** would I know - I wasn't alive in the 1970's; I'm presuming that's where this music is from by the sound of it?
Seems we've reached an impasse... Well, I guess the noble thing to do J_Tour is to just quit while (you think) you're ahead.
And nobody accused me of being noble ever. Just ask your sister.
Or is it one of the other patients you know in the Psych-ward???
You want to dig out any more video clips of movies from nineteen-sixty-whogivesacrap. Try to keep up with the times.
Blasphemy! Blazing Saddles is one of the greatest comedies of all time!
Are we stuck in an infinite loop?!?
It's a slippery slop to senility J_Tour... hope it's a smooth one for you.
Ain't no slope, slippery or otherwise, MF!
There are snakes in the ball pit!
You're the one in the ball pit... don't get bitten.
