I live on land, and stay away from the beach - so I don't need to worry about snakes or sealife. As for the spiders... I have a slipper and I'm not afraid to use it.

Try living near the beach, dugites come into your house. I have a home on the beach front and we have had snakes come into the house a few times over the decades.
