There is no cup and your lack of sporting experience shows, a cup doesn't stop 100% of the pain, if you've ever been seriously hit or seen someone get hit while wearing one during sports you'd know that.
It's body conditioning training which takes many years, they do it with all parts of their body and my example just happens to be an extreme one. Haven't you seen a trained kickboxers ability to take strong strikes to their legs? Your opinion is nullified and invalid.... and of course loses once more.
